How do you seperate the ai ramp colors if your character is only using one texture map?
@lilbrimuКүн бұрын
Nevermind , I just needed to make another shader using the same texture map with a different color ramp...

Not trying to start an argument or tell you what to do, but I dont get why people use Maya for modelling over 3ds Max, I'm still a noob in 3D modelling but after getting a bit used to 3ds, no way I can bother modelling in Maya anymore, it's just too destructive, limited, clunky, slow, I hate splines in Maya, its "smart extrude" sucks, as do booleans, and modifiers are so hella cool, I just wish that Autodesk would release a "new" DCC that's simply the best of both programs fused into one, I love Maya's interface in general, but yeah, 3ds and even Blender destroy it when it comes to 3D modelling
@snap-n-shoot8 күн бұрын
yet its the industry standard…blender is a toy open source application that is unstable and unreliable…Maya kills 3ds on animation also. Try getting a job in animation by saying you dont use Maya.

@@snap-n-shoot yeah but I'm talking about modelling

@ I use Maya for modelling, no issues.
@wallacesousuke14338 күн бұрын
I mean yeah it works, but 3ds is so much better for modelling, splines, modifiers, booleans, smart extrude, real world scaling (no wonder no one uses Maya for archviz), etc. I love Maya's interface, I wish I could use only it, but 3ds modelling tools are too tempting and handy for me to pass, and I hate the delete history stuff you constantly have to do in Maya. I hope that Autodesk add these things from 3ds to Maya, I hate Blender so I'm never using it but it's clear that it also beats Maya when it comes to modelling (and sculpting)

@@wallacesousuke1433I feel different modeling in 3Ds max wasn’t the greatest to me coming from Maya sure some stuff was cool but I just prefer the feel of Maya over Max any day

The new booleans are just so ridiculously unintuitive. They were rubbish before, but at least it was obvious how they worked. Now you need to take a class in booleans in order to use them, and the new menu. Deleting history does not work properly, so you're left with two intermediate objects in a menu when all you want is a simple union, intersection etc. Why is there not simply a "complete operation" button, or similar. Every tool in Maya works differently, and every time they develop a new one it's a new method, instead of trying to standardize workflow a little. Another massive miss from Autodesk.

Hi, the teaching is really useful! I have just one question, do i need to do the UV before this shading? As my render on shaded on part of the character instead of whole character following your steps, wondering would it be the cause. Thanks!

This is the most beautiful video, the sun has risen again after darkness fell, and the night took over the fate of beings. You are shining like the sun of hope, with strength, beauty and charm. Your enchanting presence and inspiring voice can breathe life back into the hearts of the hopeless. My love, thanks and gratitude to you. You are a genius.

I wasted a lot of time and effort to no avail, although I assured all my friends that the fault and problem is usually not with the student, and that the right time will come to get to know the golden teacher, and when that happens the problems will disappear, and the learning process will turn from suffering and difficulties to pleasure and enjoyment. Here in the Middle East we say we have found a treasure when we meet a real teacher. You are the most beautiful, wonderful and generous among those I have known and I tried to learn from them with great difficulty. With you, the impossible has become something that can be turned into a tangible reality. Thank you and all the love that befits you, oh genius.

I am learning Maya on my own; I just took some assets from the Unity asset store and started to change the models from there. The creator is actually talking to me and helping me too, which is really great. I want to learn more about this, and after I have learned about how to clean history to export a model, rig it, and then do the Blend Shader model, I want to learn how to paint it, because I want to create custom materials too in Unity. This is helpful. I watched your video the first time, but I will need to watch it again, so I can follow step by step. Your voice is pleasant by the way, and somehow you're funny too, I heard some puns there, not sure if that was intended, but at the end of the day, I see this being really educational and helpful, thanks :D
