Amazing to see her playing so well when her body had to be terribly weakened from anorexia. I think she was fueled by love for her instrument!

If Karen would have lived longer, she would have a chance to be an actress too. I think she is so talented that she can make it to Holywood too.

I was terrified of this as a child. My parents had it recorded on VHS and would put it on to torment me for their amusement. Haha CPTSD go brr...

There are two types of people: those who were utterly terrified of both this and the red hot I-beam, and those of us who later went on to study STEM lol. Also I didn't know Sesame Street used to have racist dolls on it. WTF Sesame Street!?

For some reason, whenever this came on as a kid I would become very excited and run around the house with my arms out imitating a plane. Idk man it just felt right with the music

It's what I love about the Muppets. People don't treat them like they're puppets, but real sentient beings. Especially for interviews like that or when they're ready to do takes they have them converse with each other off script

I could imagine 70s-90s Australian children watching this clip and being baffled to hear this music in an American children’s show lol. In Australia, there is a tv show called “Play School” which is aimed at preschool aged children, and in the 70s to the 90s this music was used as a theme for the Rocket Clock, a recurring object featured in the show.

Great, great musician and Artist. She is on my 4 greatest rock-pop drummers list (although she is a Jazz drummer, she reminds me to Buddy Rich so much...) with Bill Brufford, Stewart Coppeland and Mitch Mitchell, just as a drummer, as a musician, unique. And besides, really pretty...

The music played during the rocket clock segments on Australia's Play School in the late 80s and early 90s was the same as in the original band's performance.

Neil Peart himself considered Karen Capenter to be one of the very best drummers ever-and this after she was dead. It is in his "masters of resonance " piece on you tube.
