I still love my xpro2 but the fuji lenses… they are not bad, but. I recently had Leica glas on the xpro2 … ohhh Jesus … its like ahhh this is the true results of my camera sensor. Fuji needs to step up in the glas quality, meaning… do better lenses and charge more money. Its unbelievable insane how good the old German lens is in 2024. Leica is doing it right since 75 years, they don’t even need to think about if their glas reaches the sensors full resolution….🎉

Hi there, you were talking about panning shots, and 1 thing you should have said was to fo;;ow through with the pan after you press the shutter, this helps to stop snatching the shutter pulling the camea out of the direction of pan. Using a tripod all of the tracks( trackside) is not allowed ! but using a monopod is, this keeps access for marshals/doctors free. If you have never done panning heres a tip , go to the end of your street or a street with a good traffic stream and shot the cars going by this will give you a better way to practice. As shutter speeds for head on shots you are a little low 1200 or above, remember that the springs.dampers are set hard and this will make the vehicle bounce up and down, not all racks are dead flat these tips will help to your keeper rate higher.

Using a wide aperture seems odd for a panning shot. You don’t need a shallower depth of focus as you are blurring the background anyway with the motion. I find closing down the aperture helps as it makes the focus less critical. You also normally get a sharper image at a slightly closed down aperture

Man I was so oblivious to just how much more overwhelming the requirements to a would be videography career would’ve been before I even got there. I couldn’t even take one step to university with even salary issues and other limitations. Even putting a success story in a nutshell makes it out that some of the smartest people in this area are the few people who can actually qualify..

At 1.50 minutes, you said to start with a 1/20 shutter speed and "move down" to 1/60. And at 4.20 minutes, you used aperture priority so "the camera sets the aperture for you." Neither are correct.

Good and helpful video dude. Also cool to see you're using the 70-300. I love that lens and I've also done some paid work with it in combination with the X-T4 (awesome and IMO a very underrated sports/action camera) and Tamron 17-70. I will try and get a second body later this year. I was going to get another X-T4, but this time in silver. What is the performance like on the X-H2 for action photography and video in comparison just out of curiosity, apart from the deeper buffer?

Thanks for the feedback! I think the X-H2 does an amazing job with action photography. For video I mainly use the X-T4 but when in need of two video cameras on a shoot will use the X-T4 for action shots at 60fps. I then use the X-H2 for interviews at 24fps.

Thanks! It was good to hear from someone who uses the 50-140 for sports. I've been using my xf90mm f2 which is currently my longest reach Fuji lens. It's great, but some extra reach would be nice. The price of that 50-140 makes things a bit complicated though! Now, let's talk about two very important things I noticed in this video; that sweet burst Les Paul on the wall and that beautiful Martin. LOL! I live in the Lehigh Valley where Martin Guitars are produced. It's a very cool factory tour to do. I also have a Les Paul. Mine's a 1971ish LP Deluxe Goldtop. I have it since 1980. Hi, Nice video. I have the original 10-24 which I use mostly for video work as the internal zoom means no adjustments needed on the gimbal but since I am predominantly a portrait photographer, I shoot with 3 lenses now, The 23mm F/1.4 and 56mm F/1.4 Sigma and the Original 35mm F/1.4 Fuji. The Sigma glass is really good and at less than half the price of the eqv. fujis I could not justify the difference after testing. I recently shot a dance show (on a stage, in bad lighting) using the Sigma 56mm F/1.4 in AFC and it nailed focus every time I was very impressed the 50-140 is a lens I need maybe once a year, at that point I just hire it.

The lens is suitable for taking photos of architecture and landscapes even when the aperture is open, and is consistently sharp. From f/4 it is absolutely sharp. @@benlachica1730 Flexible is subjective. What are you looking to use for? and how much money do you have? If you are asking for Flexible I would definitely say a Zoom lens. I would say look at the 16-80, 18-55 and 16-55. The 18-55 I believe is the cheapest since its a kit lens and has variable zoom. 16-80 is very flexible as well but has a lower end F stop which might matter depending on what you are looking for especially low light situations. The 16-55 imo is the king and the most expensive. 16-55 is Weather Resistant and has the fastest Autofocus and a consistent 2.8 F stop which is pretty good for zooms in low light. But it is really bulky compared to the others and has no Optical stability compared to the others but if you have a XT4+ I think the body has it inbuilt.
