How can I increase speed about 2-3mph for a boost on my Pride Go-Go scooter get across busy streets? Converted my scooter to Lithium LiPO batteries and digital voltage dial. Thanks lots of good information.

afriad this wont help with that. That has everything to do with the motor controller. Theres firmware on the MCU that ocntrols the speed, likely by current limiting or PWMing the output FETs.

I tried this . The 3d printed cartridge was perfect. It did not work. Perhaps my wiring is wrong. Perhaps a video on were to attach positive and negative wire is in order. The machine does not charge. It indicates full charge, as soon as it is unplugged it turns off.

it is up to the user to know how a battery protection PCB is wired up. There are lots of tutorials on this. This is a free video (not monetized) of a project I did for my mechanic. It is not meant as a full tutorial or fully documented open source project or anything.

50 bucks ? I just ordered a new throttle assembly for my scooter and they charged me $107 bucks. And I am not sure it's even the right one yet . Aholes

hi,thanks for the video, i have question regarding a tga vista s mobility scooter, its my mums and vandals smashed the front end up and the lcd panel is cracked and dont work altho it lights up for a second when charging and shows a battery symbol ,but when i turn it on by twisting ignition wires together(they was pulled of when vandalised)there is no power,nothing works,my queston is ,shouldnt it drive or the indictors and lights still work, even if the head unit is broken? i apreciate any help thanks

yes it should still be safe to drive. the motor controls and safety stuff are very seperate from the LCD

Thanks good video! My mobility scooter is having a flash code show up upon power. The flash code relates to the throttle pot. How can I calibrate to find the sweet spot? Do I just have to pull the handle of and turn the pot shaft ever so slightly and turn the power back on and repeat over and over with the slightest turns?

Also on my scooter the wigwag paddle only goes one way. It has a separate switch for reversing the direction of the motor. If that makes a difference in calibrating

@@CriptasticHacker hey thanks! I have managed to get the scooter but sometimes it cuts out when driving. I turn it off and on again and it goes. When it cuts out it is displaying the same flash code as before. Do you think I haven't quite got the throttle pot calibrated right? At least it's going now after watching your videos

@@DanielFrame-id3gq it's very hard to calibrate it perfectly. I don't know for sure since I don't have your scooter, but mine does that when it gets a bad reading from the pot. Getting the same error code also leads me to believe that yes, it's the calibration. Hopefully you don't have a dead spot in the pot. My guess is you just need to tweak the calibration. Be prepared to spend an hour or two to get it right. Once you get it right, make sure to grab some readings with a multimeter (on ohms) for your records!

@@CriptasticHackerhave tested the swing of the pot with a multi meter and it had no dead spots. Will have to try tweak the calibration a bit more. Thanks for your reply and videos, very helpful!

just some good olde fashion hand-prying. Leave it out in the sun a bit if you need, it softens the rubber to pull it off more easily (my mechanics idea!)

Great job! Am curious I saw the original battery was 44Wh, but what is the new batts capacity add upto?

I dont know for sure because the batteries were donated. But 7x cells @ 3.7V nominal, even at a low capacity of 1500mah would still be 38.85Wh. although I imagine the cells hold closer to 2000mah/each. and given the lipo OEM quality, I suspect the 44wh rating doesnt last long (they degraded quickly)
