I'm about to purchase one! Which neck profile do they have?

I just bought one of these used, a 2014 model. It’s nice to play - a nice neck, and a comfortable lightweight guitar - however I need to point out one thing to prospective buyers that I only found out AFTER buying it. Although these soapbar P90 pickups look like the kind that you can adjust the height of (they have the two screws in amongst the polepieces), unfortunately they're NOT adjustable. I’ve seen more recent versions of this guitar that have corrected this problem (i.e. a 2017), but the soapbar P90s on earlier ones are non-adjustable. The guitar I bought had the bass side of the bridge pickup way too close to the low E string. When I went to lower that side of the pickup I found that screws were already tightened as far as they could go. The polepieces are already as low as they can go too. So I had to raise the bridge and the tailpiece in order to move the low strings further from the pickup. This may not work for everyone else because doing so also raises the action. I feel Epiphone should have installed the pickups a different way so that the two screws allowed raising or lowering the pickups like on most guitars equipped with soapbar P90s. Out of curiosity I tried turning the two screws counter-clockwise to see if they would RAISE the pickups, and they don't perform that function either. The pickup stays where it is and all the happens is that the cover comes loose. I removed the pickup and found that instead of a piece of flexible foam underneath the pickup, there's just a hard rubber pad that's adhered onto the wooden centrepiece of the guitar. Most soapbar P90 guitars have a flexible foam pad underneath the pickups to allow the two screws to travel up and down, and there's normally a spring on each screw to keep the tension. When the screws are backed off a bit the pickup cover shouldn't be coming loose. Normally P90 soapbar pickups that are adjustable are not sitting rigid in the body. You can press on them and they wiggle around because of the foam they're sitting on. But on my guitar the pickups are just rigid in place. Something to consider if you want a P90 guitar that is adjustable and not fixed height. I suppose my guitar could be taken apart, rip out the pads that are adhered to the centrepiece and replace with some thin flexible foam, and install correct-type springs if you know how. But we shouldn't have to go to that hassle. I for one will have to take this guitar to an experienced guitar tech to get this done, an expense and hassle I could do without. So be on the alert if you’re checking out an older model of this guitar.

I think I'm going to buy this guitar, but I have a few questions in mind, can I play metal on this guitar? Do you have a nice, easy-to-play keyboard like the Ibanez? Ibanez guitars play lighter and smoother because the cables are close to the keyboard, how do harley bentons

I’m late to the party. Just dropped a set of tex mex with cat pots into my 1987 Japan squier. Makes my highway one strat sound ordinary. These pups rock!

Wow man you really know how to make that thing sing! Im in the market for a squier standard strat and this is the best video I’ve seen! It goes to show that it is the player which makes a guitar sound great first and foremost… but these guitars really do seem great! Just as good as a “real” fender in the right hands 😉 now I wonder, who is the man behind the videos? Hmmm 🤔 thanks for the awesome video, your playing is superb!

THAT WAS FANTASTIC!!! HOW MUCH DO I OWE YOU FOR THE CONCERT? LOL!!! I have the same color, and i always enjoy playing it. I knew it was a really good guitar, and I've always been pleased with the sound of it. Epiphone should pay you for showcasing it so well. Folks probably bought one, thanks to you!!!

Love the Squier CV Teles. I have a FSR thinline model, which I prefer for its lighter weight. I changed the pickups to a Twisted Tele in the neck and a custom hand wound MacAwber Nocaster in the bridge, just to add a little more bite than the original stock pickups. Not that there's much wrong with stock ones. Thanks for a great video and fantastic playing. 👏

Well done bro! I just bought a well used, pretty beat up 2009 Jimmie Vaughan signature Strat for a great price in NSW. Probably needs a fret job! Previous or original owner modded it. ?? It's looking the part tho. The pickguard is 3 ply & loaded with David Allen Voodoo Blues pups & a push pull on the bridge pup. I'd like to bring it back to stock but I'd better just get it playable 1st. Maybe I don't need the Tex Mex pups or the original PG? Any experience with those pups?

Beautiful tones. How would it sound if you play with band (drums, another guitar e.g.); are those watts enough or when you get more volume the distortion gets worse?

I haven’t played this amp yet but used a similar which was less watts, still a 12 inch speaker, the bravo 112 and it sounds more then okay at high volume, clean and distorted tones, just bought the express though! Can’t wait to play it :D

This was my first real guitar. Struggled with a pos kay electric single pickup from the age of 12 until 14 when my mom finally scraped up 580 bucks to get me a brand new 1993 Epi LP burst just like this one. I got it for Easter in 1994. She bought it at Sam Ash music store on Queens Boulevard in NYC. I played the crap out of it. Still have it but haven’t enjoyed it for many years as it was replaced by better equipment. It has a George Lynch Screaming Demon in the bridge. I might have to bond with it again soon as it’s almost 30 years old and I’m 42. Good playing man!

I came across a Squier Deluxe Strat (used) in great shape. I had no idea what Squiers were worth. So I offered the guy $240.00 for it. He took my offer and I was surprised what a decent axe it was.
