Wow man you really know how to make that thing sing! Im in the market for a squier standard strat and this is the best video I’ve seen! It goes to show that it is the player which makes a guitar sound great first and foremost… but these guitars really do seem great! Just as good as a “real” fender in the right hands 😉 now I wonder, who is the man behind the videos? Hmmm 🤔 thanks for the awesome video, your playing is superb!

My other guitar is a squier affinity stratocaster that I've upgraded the pickups and pots in and i love it too!..I don't think I'll change the pickups in this one as they sound great and also different from the tex mex in my affinity so it's nice to have 2 quite different sounding strats...now that I have 2 awesome guitars I better learn a few more chords haha!🤣

I never liked strats with single coils and trem then one day I went for strings for an Ibanez rg and saw this. I walked accross the shop to this hanging on the wall from a distance i figured it was a fender as I got up to it I saw it was a Squire but it looked so good in the blue so i plugged it into an amp and was blown away for 299 this guitar was a steal and the trem on these are amazing I"m serious, its the best trem Ive had other than floyds the 2 point trem with block saddles is great they did a good job designing these I put the third spring in it had a good friend do his set up magic and I always end up with this cheaper priced of my guitars, the Squire deluxe strat in my hand. These are made in Indonesia and they are beautiful guitars don"t knock Squire they've up their game big time I compared a few MiM Fender strats to my Squire and I would take one of these every time over the MIM u can buy a set of graphtec locking tuners and drop them right into these with no mods with the money u saved or get a high end set off pick ups and u end up with a better guitar in the end.
you are so good playing, greetings from argentina!!

Hey mate, not sure if your still active on this channel but firstly love what you have done and i assume your from perth WA....anyway i need some advice on these....i found one today that was for sale but luckily had a close look that the tremolo posts x 2 had both been forced forward toward neck and the body wood was all cracked....why would that have happened....and how many springs are these supposed to have?.the owner didn’t even realise and this thing had no use and was immaculate with still the pick-guard and pickup plastic on it...is it the wood on some of these are just poor?. Also I see some models have like six mounts yet these have 2...i need a lesson on strat variations in this squire range. So really is it not worth getting at really low price and fixing it or is it junk status in your opinion?
@perthguitar51603 жыл бұрын
The deluxe in general is not junk. I think it comes with 3 springs and should have a 2 point trem. Body wood cracking and post movement is a bit of a worry though. I'd pass but they do come up from time to time on gumtree, which is where I got mine so keep a look out. Thanks for watching.

I own one, when you remove the pickguard it is routed with hsh cutouts. I put a hotrail in the bridge and a coolrail in the neck. I wired them both in the series/parallel/split configuration with a 3-way toggle for each. Among many more mods. I still have the original duncan design middle pickup in it, it sounds great. My squier is no longer a squier and is an absolute beast. I highly recommend this fiddle.

So how does this compare to an american standard? Are there features you like better? Would you say they are the same?
@perthguitar51607 жыл бұрын
The features are very similar. The MIA has a slight D neck shape in my opinion and also has better hardware (ie. trem and pickups). For most players, including myself, the difference is marginal. What I like the most about the Squier is that I hardly paid anything for it! Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
@byronofcalgary69855 жыл бұрын
the Deluxe Series has everything the Standard Series has inc the 2 Pin trem instead of 6 screws - a few exceptions are- the small headstock - a thinner finish on neck - - AVAILABLE Duncan Design Hot Rails - 3 in a SSS Layout = ANGLED HumBuckers - you will always look for better than DD pickups but the 3 Rails are an Education in Tone.... bye bye HSS + SSS

For the money, the Squier Deluxe Stratocaster is a bargain. Aside from Fender (parent company) it's the only one you will see an authorized "Stratocaster" name on the headstock and for good reason.
