"Don't I know you...?" "...you used to..." So bittersweet. To know that something that you had that was great is now lost to you, likely because of your own actions. "Now you're just somebody that I used to know..."

If ever there was a completely proper use for the typically brainless expression of 'OMG', this performance is it.

Pat Metheny? What an oddity. He comes from a time when the industry really cared about every listener. This master piece lasts about 10 minutes and nobody cares. Now the industry is crappy music everywhere. I hope I can still save my child from today's garbage music. I am trying real hard to teach her to appreciate this music. We owe that much to Pat.

This piece!!! The music floats into my soul and slowly dances. It forces me to FEEL - joy, the depth of real love, melancholia, beauty. I usually end up crying by mid-song. Perfection.

Quite a bit similar to some of the sound track music Metheny did for the movie, "The Falcon and The Snowman." Good stuff. Is that his Synclavier guitar set up?

Try as I might I still well-up at 4.45m when the drum comes in. This is a historic masterpiece by arguably the most brilliant and prolific jazz composer of the modern age. Long live Pat Metheny.

This is so perfect...the ability to tell the most important moments of the story through music and pictures in this movie is so amazing. And then there are the funny scenes, thats another side of the movie...pure life.

In all the years I have listened to this track I had assumed that the intro was sung by adolescent Indonesian or Thai choristers ! I was this age when I discovered that it was David Blamires and Mark Ledford ( rip )..I am stunned ..x

As a bassist myself I was immediately drawn in by Rodby's line, and then those vocal harmonies, just pure magic! One of the coolest tunes I've ever heard. I love it!
