Always working to make information and instruction open, accepting, and welcoming to all. If you check the link in my bio and follow over on IG you'll find a ton of trans folks in my follows and followers with similar interests!

I know there’s likely not a good answer for this, but how does one get people to care enough to make a plan?😆 I live in a rural area with plenty of friends and acquaintances around. When I’ve tried to organize some kind of emergency planning or community care plan, everyone’s interested and then no one actually shows up when it’s time to talk about it and make it happen😭

Found your page via your interview with Margaret Killjoy on Live Like the World is Dying. Loved the interview and stoked to get into your content! I live in the mountains in BC Canada, where wildfire season is quickly approaching and have found this video super useful and will be revisiting it when I pack my go bag. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Love this! Thank you for following, it was such a joy to talk to Margaret. Let me know if you have any specific questions as you get ready for fire season! Happy to offer whatever advice or info that I can to help you be prepared!

I'd really like to learn more about long-term off-grid water purification

What size solutions are you.hoping to learn about? That's not something I have a ton of experience with. I have a fair amount of methods for small scale filter like Lifestraws, a Grayl, and a Berkey filter. But currently nothing for a larger scale filtration. I'd HIGHLY recommend d checking out the folks over at @spiritussystems as they have several videos with a few different ready-made methods.

Cool video… nice build and music - but a bit too loud at times to follow your commentary. Need to try those kreg jigs myself.

Thanks! Simple and quick, definitely recommend Kreg, they make jigs for different applications.

Love the format. "Philosophy of use" discussion is so much more valuable than obsessing over specific product choices. Thanks for putting your thoughts out there. also, I think having a space with a table like yours where you can take a quick moment to load up like you showed is very helpful too.

Yeah, it's very easy to fall down the rabbit hole of gear specifics, this product and that product. But I try to keep things at a higher level so so people will look into what they need for their unique situation instead of just copying me. And ues, having a holding table is great, for those days when every other surface is cluttered, having a folding table ready to pull out helps get organized as you pack up.

I dig that you just have one bag to dump your preps into and pack it quickly. Thanks for making this.

Thank you! I think it helps alleviate the stress if your plan is to use a vehicle to 1. Avoid just throwing a bunch of loose stuff in your car. And 2. Feel like you have to make a bunch of hard decisions on what you can fit in just one pack.

I have an adjustable gas block in this build, but it honestly doesn't give me too much blowback. It would probably be worse indoors with no wind.

Would you consider doing a video or two about cooking with dry beans and lentils and making a couple plant based meals?

If you have a $1500 dollar rifle, $500+ dollar optic, and $100s in different attachments, you're a chump if you don't use a $50 dollar sling.

I couldn't agree more. I made a passing comment about slings on TikTok and a bunch of people decided slings being unnecessary was a hill they were willing to die on.

De-escalation, avoidance, and evasion are the key, especially as an individual or smaller group. So many people out there for crazy power fantasies for a time they think there will be no consequences.
