My Strategy for Go-Bag Preparedness

Being prepared is all about planning ahead and being aware of the current state of the world. A Go-Bag or Bugout bag, is not something you buy, pack, and then go about normal life. You use the things that should be packing semi-regularly and it's paramount that you keep either a mental or literal incentive of those items and keep them organized so they're easy to pack up on the worst day.
I say this because unless you live in fire or hurricane country, bugging out should he your last resort to any situation. Bugging in your home is usually your safest option.
But in the event you need to pack up and go, this video provides some tips on how I approach my go-bag planning.

Yeah, it's very easy to fall down the rabbit hole of gear specifics, this product and that product. But I try to keep things at a higher level so so people will look into what they need for their unique situation instead of just copying me. And ues, having a holding table is great, for those days when every other surface is cluttered, having a folding table ready to pull out helps get organized as you pack up.

Thank you! I think it helps alleviate the stress if your plan is to use a vehicle to 1. Avoid just throwing a bunch of loose stuff in your car. And 2. Feel like you have to make a bunch of hard decisions on what you can fit in just one pack.

What size solutions are you.hoping to learn about? That's not something I have a ton of experience with. I have a fair amount of methods for small scale filter like Lifestraws, a Grayl, and a Berkey filter. But currently nothing for a larger scale filtration. I'd HIGHLY recommend d checking out the folks over at @spiritussystems as they have several videos with a few different ready-made methods.
