The thing is the "Organization based around superheros who also sell pharmaceuticals" works so much better when they are the bad guys. This version of Wonderwoman is not too far off from Queen Maeve.

Adrianne Palicki has had some bad luck with launching her own superhero show. There was supposed to be an Agents of Shield spinoff with her leading it.

10:27 They’re asking him why he’s taking a baby into Battle. That’s really irresponsible and making them rattled-Guardians Inferno 10:45 Ma should have had the Chachla. It’s been a more effective weapon on both sides of the pacific Ocean Kinda surprised Spider-Man never had a episode based on this premise Kinda surprised the episode you mentioned earlier didn’t get the axe considering how badly SF Debris tore it apart

I never had to do any flour/egg baby assignments in school, but I wonder what teachers would do in the event of the classroom not having a 50/50 male/female split, or if the number of students was an odd number. Also, does anyone remember the Beavis & Butt-head episode where the two of them were entrusted with a flour baby?

For kids' shows, it's to show kids the responsibility of parenting. As for sitcoms, it's a plot device for hijinks.

i really liked this episode, just for the insanity of it all. you have Terry failing "family studies" which even Bruce Lampshades to Ace of all things, you have the damn egg baby, which manages to be creepy and cute at the same time, and it's just fun. also love the moment you can almost hear Will Fridle (Terry's voice almost saying "screw this" and remember Batman Beyond was his first voice role, Kevin Conroy may he rest in peace really mentored him through every script. also love that Warner Bros had to get in a Wizard of Oz reference to Ruby Slippers

Egg Baby!
@MichaelAarons17013 күн бұрын
Bruce mentioning the press’ penchant for alliterations was the only thing I remotely recognize from this episode. It doesn’t suck; it’s just dumb. Personally, I feel the other students should have gotten higher grades given they showed fantastic parental motivations like with the guys while Terry made many stupid decisions that, “stimulation” or not, were immensely reckless. If he thinks it’s ok to stash the thing in either a dumpster or next to (what he thinks is) a roof cooling unit, then why not just leave it in the Batmobile?! Furthermore, this Batman has a cloaking system so why not use it to hide when the egg cries drawing everyone’s attention?!🤨 The whole plot relies on a contrived circumstance and the main character holding the Idiot Ball.😒 Side note, when I went through this in high school (2001-2004) they gave us a doll that had a diaper to change or a bottle to feed it with unless you chickened out and would rather just write a huge essay. And you can get arrested for child abuse if you just leave it in your locker to be neglected because it’s officially seen as a real child being abused!😳 (Yes…I thought that sounded stupid too.🙄) Also, some can be programmed as “crack baby” and you have to actually switch diapers or the sensor will mark you as neglecting a child in its own filth.
@danielbrant67403 күн бұрын
As for leaving Eggbaby in the Batmobile, that's not an option since those things are probably equipped with timers & sensors that when the baby 'cries' & is left alone for too long, your grade will drop for every time it happens. Terry had to keep it close by for that reason because he rather deal with the Joker with a crowbar without his suit tech than take family health class again.
@MichaelAarons17013 күн бұрын
@@danielbrant6740 So a dumpster in an alley that could be messed with by anyone (and was) is more logical than the Batmobile which has security systems?

In it's defence, Terry's friend Dates a Robot is actually not that bad. The premise is goofy as hell, but the overall episodes got a goofy charm to it and the titular robo-girl is actually menacing

I never hated this one. It was interesting seeing Terry take on this baby for class to get a good grade! I didn't mind it showed Terry balancing his civilian life with his hero life. I was surprise it won an Emmy. Never hated it, though the other you mentioned is ridiculous and silly, yet I like that one as well

It would be interesting to see InepToons done on some series which I would normally think wouldn't be touched, like the Fleischer Superman shorts. It may not be a TV series, but it's still an animated series and very similar to TV (just before TV was a thing)--kind of like how movie serials are similar to TV shows, too (also: if theaters want to lure people back, maybe we should look into making those things again--change up the viewing experiences, and all that; though streaming shows are the closest we have to the return of those things in the modern day). I would say the worst of said shorts would be part of the Famous productions, rather than Fleischer, with more propaganda and potential racism involved. However, I'm not sure if any would really be bad enough to fit this series, kind of like how I don't expect X-Men 97 on this series (at least not season 1, but for all we know season 2 might have a legitimately terrible episode). If this were extended into live-action shows (I'm not suggesting it have this happen, but just mentioning a hypothetical), I could expect there would be some interesting ones to go with, like "Beer Bad" from Buffy. Another show that could be fun in such a hypothetical is The Incredible Hulk, though I'm not sure which episode would be considered worthy. There are definitely some duds in there, but ultimately I wonder if it's one of the TV movies that would fit the bill, since they're extensions of the show. But I can also think it would be interesting to see an opposite to this premise: well-done episodes in terrible animation. I know there have to be fun examples out there from generally reviled shows like Ultimate Spider-Man or Teen Titans Go. Just because people don't like them overall doesn't mean it's all bad, I would hope.

Ma Mayhem is based on a real criminal named Ma Barker. More specifically, there was an old movie called Ma Barker's Killer Brood. Old movies were one of the main things the creators use as inspiration. That's why Cuvier looks like Vincent Price.
