Hi Tim, I found this video while I was searching for a good way to mount 2 action cameras for a cross country trip from Pennsylvania to Nevada. A lot of videos are generic blah blah blah without describing and evaluating a specific product or products. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this, and so I've subscribed. Also, since you asked, the favorite location was inside the car; the closer to POV of the driver is always the best, in my opinion. Thank you for the video!

Hey @FGRides !Thank you so much for your comments and kind words. I'm so glad to hear you got something out of my video and thanks for subscribing! Good choice for the best location too. Having the camera mounted inside the vehicle is no doubt the safest option and capturing footage of the wide open road in front of you ( in the countryside at least ! ) is the classic position that makes your viewer feel like they have come along for the ride! Safe travels too , mate. It looks like you'll be covering more than 2400 miles on your road trip covering some of my favourite parts of your amazing country !

Hey @HARAKmoto ! Thanks for your comment! You can connect both the mic minis to the DJI Osmo Action 4 - or 5 - via bluetooth, and you can record both of you on the bike the same time. I am assuming she is your passenger or the other way around? As the mic mini is designed to work with your camera without a receiver you wouldn't need to connect it to your OA4. I hope this helps.

Great comparison between Pro and Standard Modes! The wind noise test was incredibly useful, especially for those of us looking to get the best audio quality in various conditions. I’m impressed by how the DJI Osmo Action 5 performs in both modes, but it’s clear that Pro Mode gives a noticeable advantage in minimizing wind noise. It would be interesting to see how it performs in more extreme environments like high-speed sports or windy outdoor activities. Looking forward to more real-world tests and comparisons, as they really help in making an informed decision. Keep up the fantastic work!

I only have the transmitter and I think it will be ok for my use, mostly motorcycle vlogs. I was loosely aware it went into sleep mode after 15mins when the camera is off, but incorrectly thought it would come back on when I turned the camera back on, but it doesn't. Easy fix just turn that off in mimo once I realised I could...need to read the manual first😂

Hey @HarryHarry-um6hc ! Thanks for your comment! ? Woah, a drag racing event. That sounds epic. I'm more than happy to help in any way. Where are you thinking of putting the GP11? Attaching it to a helmet or the vehicle? Is the event going to be held at day or night? I think filming it in at least 4K/60fps would be good - in case you want to slow down the footage and maintain great video quality, I'd probably go for a wide lens - sometimes a bigger one can get a bend at the end of the image - SV might work ok too. Hypersmooth on and keep most of the other settings at auto. I hope this helps.

Hey @M0LLER75 ! Thanks for your comment and sorry to hear you are having a few issues with GoPro Labs. I have had similar situations in the past and what I had to do was delete all my loaded settings - using the QR control app is the easiest way - and then put the new settings back onto the camera. If you go to the QR Control App, go to the menu marked Extras and then in the FeatureFourCC dropdown menu select !PRESET and scan the QR code, that should change all the presets back to their default state. Give it a go and let me know how it goes. Cheers

In answer to your other question, I haven't found anything to suggest you can view or monitor your footage on the Gopro app using a Hero 10 once you press record. However, this could change. Originally this was only something you could do with the Hero 12 but gopro later released an update that made it possible on the Hero 11. I'd suggest connecting your GP to the app and see if there is an update that includes this feature awaiting install. All the other options listed in the vidro you should be able to do with the GP10. why does the cam show 18GB less memory on the card?
@AdventureTimMedia
@AdventureTimMedia 14 күн бұрын
Hey @schnellkannjeder ! Great question. There are several reasons why this may be the case. The amount labeled on your SD card - 256GB in my case - is actually the physical capacity of the card, however, due to the card having its own file system structure ( aka formatting overhead ) that includes things like file allocation tables, system files and metadata, the actual USEABLE data available is decreased in my case to around 238GB. The difference in how the size of the disk is calculated also contributes to this confusion. The manufacturer - ie. San Disk or Samsung - will use the decimal system to tell you how much space is on a card - as in 1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. The computer on the other hand uses the binary system so it classes 1GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes! A difference of 73,741,824 bytes compared to what it says on the size of the packaging! Now if you divide the computers binary sizing of 1GB into the size of the card SD card ( 256 in my case ! ), you get an answer of .....238.4 GB! Which is your usable data. I hope that makes sense! Great question btw.

@AdventureTimMedia
@AdventureTimMedia 29 күн бұрын
Hey @auronthas ! Thanks for your question. For GPS to be effective, the camera has to lock onto a GPS signal before you hit record, or else it won't work, even if you have turned on the GPS option previously. You can tell it has locked on if the GPS icon is solid white. You can see this at the top left of the screen when you swipe down from the rear video screen. Quick capture mode doesn't give the camera the opportunity to lock onto GPS before it starts recording which is probably why you are experiencing this issue. I hope this helps.

High reduction sounded best..possible dumb question, but if you go into pro, turn noise reduction on but switch back to auto to film, does that then cancel the noise reduction ? I suspect yes but am not sure. Thoughts ? Cheers from jolly old Adelaide.
