Great to see the talk and have a look around the event. Great soundtrack too, lovely work. It made hearing the talk harder, would be nice to get that section soundtrack free next time.

Problem is, I can’t reprogram your brain if I mix the 208c out of the talk. :)

Link to the three different cases in the description. Keen, clones and 200e. Keen modules used for music up to 1:27. Last track uses keen 283 for the main looping rift. 258 re-issue into SMP from 1979. Reverbs are 1979 CMP or Quantec QRS. Everything in between is 200e setup with 208c , 259e and 258e for heavy bass.

These M.E.M.S PCBs look fantastic! Great music too. I stopped watching from 2:30 up to 27:20 because unfortunately I can't listen to someone talking and listen to music in the background at the same time, but enjoying very much what I was able to watch. Thx for sharing.

@@bendawson1995 It’s ok. I can totally take critique. I made a 2nd video for others that has vocals only. I realized it might be harder to hear if American English isn’t your native tongue.

So cool! Wish I could have been there. I was trying to get a gauge on how old those guys were talking about cloning buchla. It sounded like they were there at the beginning but their voices also sounded Young
@LoganMannstraneАй бұрын
Yeah, it was super impressive to see the detailed work they have done, measuring circuit trace widths and all. There are Buchla clones, and then there's M.E.M.S. Huge respect to Chip and Mark.

Amazing instrument. Funny enough, most of the original units were sold to professional musicians in the late 70s... and now it seems that many of these are owned by nerds, Vangelis freaks and instrument collectors

Thanks so much! You put together a great compilation of CS-80 videos. You found a lot of great performances. The other synth I’m playing on is a Sequential Circuits Pro One. I really enjoyed your video.

Vangelis had the P5 Rev 2 (clearly seen in lots of footage of him in Nemo Studios 1979-1984 era), used it on the soundtracks of Chariots of Fire and Antarctica if I'm not mistaken (though he probably didn't use it as much as his CS-80 of course).

Indeed… some years ago Tom Oberheim showed a potential “son of 4 voices” synth but unfortunately it was never produced. I guess if they released it today, even at 8k€ it would sell.
