I found a seller on Ebay local in Los Angeles who had it for 2,500. No one was bidding since the seller had a history of 0. Got lucky. This was back in 2006 though.

@Babyblue57 Yeah, just a TS 1/4 inch from the trigger out of cowbell to gate in on the pro one. Perfect sync and a lot of fun to jam with on the fly. Pro One and TR-808 are a nice match.

@mollyoko Oh totally. It's an awesome piece to have. Good software reverbs really eat up a lot of CPU. Having the Eventide is pure bliss. The Eventide digital I/O works really well for mixing with software DAW's too.

Well, I changed the oil in the boat tonight, RV is ready for a family experience with satellite TV, Internet and phone. Have a lake to go to. Did I say something offensive? I spent many hours restoring my CS80 and recording it. Alas, life takes my time away. Computers die and efforts are lost. But I do have a restored CS-80 that I healed myself and it lives on for the next generation. I may not be able to play it, but my offspring will.

Magical CS-80 which I'd say sounds just lovely from the Barefoots. I am considering a refurbed Eventide 2016 as my first outboard verb. Can you recommend splashing out if I'm mostly using Waves Renaissance verb and other soft reverbs at the moment?

yeah, sadly the great bargains are bleeding out of California. Going back in to get an industrial ultrasonic welder for 1/10 cost of new. But I paid over 12K for my CS-80 in 2009 from LA. CS-80 hotspot is LA.
