Not saying this is not a great Gaming projector - I don't know - I'm not a gamer. But the 'HT' in the model number literally stands for 'Home Theater'. This projector was designed specifically for a dark room showing Movies.

Hi The Daingeon, Thanks for the great review! I currently own the Benq HT2050a, overall I like it and am looking for an upgrade. I use it for movies and non competitive video games. For me the 16.4ms of input lag has been great for gamming. I think I will be happy with the W5800 13ms for 1080 120hz / 17.9 ms 4k 60hz. Months ago I heard reports that the W5800 has too long of a lag to play video games on. I just did a Google search on the W5800 and I found a reported lag from Sound and Vision of 138 ms @ 1080p/60 fps and 139 ms @ 4K/60 fps. Too slow for me. Do you know if there was an update to the hardware to give a shorter lag? Were these original reports not accurate? If there was an update any idea on how I would know if I was getting a W5800 with the 13ms / 17.9ms gamming lag? I also own a 2.35 to 1 screen so I adjust the projector often. With the W5800 to change the aspect ratio does the zoom, focus and vertical lense shift need to be adjusted? Also, with practice how long do you think it would take to adjust between the two with the remote? Thanks for your advice! Jonathan

I want to see how it handles ambient light bouncing off white walls in a totally dark room. I use my projector in my living room. I can turn the lights off and put up curtains, but I don't want to paint my walls black.

What are the recommended settings for a mid bright bedroom? I also use an Apple TV 4K with it I am confused. It is my first projector, it has 4K Upscaling On. The ATV4K is at 4KSDR (60), RGB High, only match Range On and Frame Rate Off. I need to improve the Black Levels also. Please please help me

I'm divided between the TK700, which should be at a very low price the upcoming black Friday, and the TK710, which is probably going to let mrsp price for a while. Right now the TK710 is 61% more expensive, so being a TK700 owner, what's your take on the cost/benefit the 700 offers? Is the 710 much better to justify the much higher price point?

I just ordered one. I'm upgrading from my BenQ W2000. I'll be using it in a pitch-black home theatre dedicated room with a 120-inch, 1.1 gain screen. The walls are painted black, and I've installed molton fabric on all sides of the screen to absorb reflected light. Hoping for a nice result with the upgrade.
