@@Vigilance108 I’m not entirely sure. There’s a possibility its from either Wheaton, IL or some nuclear plant in the area.

Why was the 2001 not functional?
@SirenDude10038 күн бұрын
@@TheEASdude0825 they wanted newer sirens and moreover wanted to have a more uniform system with all of the same technology, rather than the previous system which had different kinds and ages of sirens in each town. As far as we know there were no problems with the previous system.

How do you know the radius of the sirens on google earth pro? Ive been wanting to do it but i don't know how loud the siren is at 70db however far away.
@SirenDude100313 күн бұрын
@@IowaSirensProductions You can use some relatively simple although lengthy math to yield the approximate range. For every distance doubled, 10 dB are lost. So for example, a 120dB @ 100ft siren would be 110dB @200 ft, 100dB at 400 ft, 90 dB at 800 ft, etc. with stuff in between multiples of 10 I just estimate judging by the range of the next multiple of ten, (ie 130 dB = 70dB @ 6400 ft, & 120dB = 70 dB @ 3200, divide the difference of 6400-3200 by 10, which equals 3200. 3200 divided by 10 = 320, then if for example the siren is 125 dBs just multiple 320 by 5, add that to 3200 and there you go)
