What is that low tone eerie sound

If you're talking about the buzzing right as the siren winds up, that's an electrical hum, probably the contactor but I guess there's also a chance that it might be the motor. If you're talking about the whooshing warbling sound throughout the test, I'm pretty sure that's the sound of crazy amounts of air being pulled into the siren.

Are these like T-128s where it's surprisingly quiet when you stand directly under them but crazy loud when you're about 50 feet away because almost all of the sound goes overhead? I'm asking because it surprised me to be able to hear the contactor buzz over the siren. Speaking of how loud these must be, I wonder if it's even possible to make hearing protection good enough to keep you from going deaf if you were to be inside a closed garage with one of these while it was going off?

@@J19_vlogger74 yes it is, most sound goes overhead. When im right next to sirens that are on the ground, ill usually wear earbuds with headphones over those. You could add layers by stuffing more between them.

Okay why do people call the siren t 135 sometimes and then p 50 sometimes. Same thing isn't it?
@J19_vlogger74Ай бұрын
ACA Made the P-50. ACA became ASC in 1994 and gave new names to many of their sirens, including the P-50, which was renamed to the T-135AC. Kind of like how the B&N Mobil Directo eventually became the ACA Allertor.

@@J19_vlogger74 And another thing about this particular siren is that it was installed in 2002, making it one of the last P-50/T-135AC's to be installed, so this apparently makes it a T-135AC.
