Anyone have any info on that brand and model of Andy's guitar? It is gorgeous!

So we've done a gig in a hostel I was staying in, Matt Johnson, of 'the the', afterwards suggested we go to this gig at the Lyceum, Strand...and this bloke walks up to the amps, the guitar is there and by himself creates this utter cacophany of total feedback noise, before the bass and drums begin...frankly it was a 'Hendrix' moment, except he came from where I was born, Leeds! I carried on using my echo box, like Matt, as a 'sound', away from the usual guitar, like Andy Gill.

David Byrne totally ripped off Jon King's stage act but Go4 was practically unknown in the US so no one really knew. Byrne took it to an even higher level, though.

it's totally appropriate they got Chic's Alfa Anderson for this song because you can tell the whole song is a tribute to Chic music.

In the early 80s as a kid at first I was only familiar with their later r&b sound and when I first saw Urgh my first reaction was wtf, but then it grew on me because What We All Want was my mantra and I hadn't heard all of Solid Gold yet. Finally got to see them as an adult in Hollywood in the 00s, glad I saw Andy Gill before he left this world. RIP!
