And he said the 8f35/8f24 transmissions are okay, but that they've had some issues with them, but if they're "meticulously" maintained you shouldn't have any issues.

I asked Ford Boss Me about the reliability of this powertrain, he said that the 1.5L Dragon I3 was a little more reliable than the 1.5L Sigma I4, considering both are similar in displacement but the Dragon has one less cylinder, it's actually a better engine, though people think the I3 is under more stress.
@jmc6000Күн бұрын
Yes, I am sure it was more reliable than the 1.5L Sigma.

Tech tip of the day: DO NOT toss loose trash, (in this case a gob of lint), into the trash bin! When garbage truck dumps the bin over, it will blow down the street. I have a neighbor who routinely does this. The result is: all sorts of loose trash blowing across my yard & down the street on trash day! Be smarter than that. Put loose trash into a wastepaper basket so it's bagged up before it hits the large bin!

I keep seeing good deals on these in the used car market. For example 2018 awd, 70,000 miles for $12,000. Idk though. I like simple stuff, the interior doesn’t bother me but I’m not a fan of CVT and whatever you call that steering. I like that it’s actually made in Japan

I’ve leased a 2023 Trailblazer for two years, 16,788 miles with no problems. I’m thinking of buying it out or instead leasing the less expensive Trax. The Trax does not have the CVT which I prefer, 8 speeds I believe. What do you prefer. I have read of lots of complaints about the CVTs and I would value your opinion. Also, I believe both have the wet timing belt and would appreciate feedback, as it is also controversial with some people saying don’t go there. Please help. I may go shopping tomorrow.
@jmc60002 күн бұрын
Go for the trailblazer instead but I would look at the all new Nissan Kicks over both the Trax and Trailblazer

Clean the dryer vent first...especially if there is a 90 degree turn. If the dryer never worked well it was probably the vent all along.

You can lower the noise level by installing the foam insulation that goes at the back of the front fenders an front doors if you open your door you can look into the engine bay on the passenger side you can see the windshield washer can they are 100.00 at the Ford dealer the noise is down an you can tell when you close the doors i have no idea why they were not installed at build

I got a 24 because of the deal and because I like physical buttons and the Sync 3 layout better (used to Sync 2). I would agree the engine vibration is my biggest gripe, but it does go away driving it. Maybe someone will make engine mounts that fix it

You're right. Price is everything to the consumer and EVs hit the market so overpriced that they were cost prohibitive to not people unless they were upper income. And to add to the pain, the tax credits for that class of buyers was a tax passed through to the moderate income taxpayer. Hybrids offer the best of both worlds with better range and Ford's Mavrick started out right as an economical option for the younger 1st time car buyer. People will always buy what they like and the Government don't need mandate beyond safety standards.

15th Nov 2024 Mirage (Europe: Space Star) 1.2 (hatchback, manual) is still available for about 13.5k USD (prod.: 2023, MY: 2024). There are no sedans G4 in Europe. Very reliable and costless car, but also unsafe :( . Anyway, I own and love them.

There's plenty of features in the xlt. You just have to look around the infotainment. There's actually a lot. The interior design is great. Yes it's plastic but it's a better designed plastic. Looks clean. You dont need leather everywhere. Just take care of your interior. Leather or plastic. I personally don't care about key or button start.

We have a ‘21 with the 2.3L. Some small QC issues as well. My main issue is the transmission, the 10-speed has days where it shifts OK, other days where it’s rough shifting, just weird behavior and feeling. Very frustrating but I heard they retuned for ‘25

The new 10-speed transmission in the 2025 is much much better over the 20 thru 24s
