Best way is just not to run it a good solid anchor system doesn’t need this “double line system it it twice the work then a good solid single pull

So you’re saying a double line is as good as a winch, and why not just get a winch. Glad we agree a double line is easier 👍

Wood stoves are radiant heat. Pellet, for the most part, is forced air. Pellet stoves have their place if clearances are tight and for convenience/physically easier to deal with pellets. That's it. I have both so......BIG DIFFERENCE......CRAZY DIFFERENCE. I live in Maine.

To make it more efficient why not use a small fan on both sides to distribute the heat more and or make a sand battery put it on both sides and now after you turn it off at night the sand battery will stay hot for a long time

I got the straight drawer and the curve jaw off Amazon for $35 You're right when you feel them in your hand they're the best locking plier ever made to me it's actually have a full ring around the end instead of just a crimp joint with a set screw is and some of the cheap companies don't even weld that crimp joint

Hi, never did that kind of build and never used rivets. What size and length of rivet was that? I'm gonna try that soon. Thank you for the video.

3/16 rivet is the biggest diameter I’d go. Length is 1/2” maybe 3/8”.

The saying that you would rely on as a customer for pellets, but how many people cann’t cut and split their own wood so they too rely on others. The talk that pellet stove need power well think of it this way when power does go out ( Nova Scotia power is not reliable) I just start my generator just like everyone else and oh I have power again. This argument is ridiculous. A small solar cell and battery-inverter is ok to use for the stove too.

Im rebuilding my 96 f350, 7.3 after many yrs of the new england salt. I started 6 months ago. I couldnt get the 2 fuel lines disconnected. The ones on the driver side frame, that go to the top of engine. Im attempting it today since a day off from other work. This was a beautiful explanation of what I need to do. Lets see if im capable. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the upload and take care

Thank you so much for posting these! This is extremely helpful, and it convinced me to buy this stove for sure. I am also not very mechanically knowledgeable so all of the commentary was very nice. I'm going to probably rewatch this several times so I can understand the stove better. Single mom here without much experience with this kind of stuff, and this will help me be set up for success. THANK YOU!

I have a new F250 w/ LT275/70/18 125 Dueler AT. Unloaded, tires at door sticker pressures are just absurdly hard and traction terrible, at 60 front / 65 rear. Looking at some load/inflation charts from a number of manufacturers for that tire size, I think I could drop to maybe as low as 40 PSI or so if I wanted as far as the vehicle weight is concerned. My main concern would be the health of the wheel and tire sidewall as I drive pretty fast on rough roads and have mashed a number of wheels and a tire sidewall or two on sharp edged holes over the years. I would watch the TPMS readout and make sure the pressure change from cold to hot didn't exceed 5 pounds of gain. I have been running 52 front and 47 rear, but still pretty hard. I see 3 pounds of heat gain in 35-40F weather at highway (not interstate) speed. Traction is improved, but plan to try going lower yet.

What if the pipes have dirty water in them too? Don't you want to get rid of that?
@NickMango
@NickMango 11 күн бұрын
The water in the pipes is less than 1% of the total water needed for the tub. Once you refill it and get the pump running, that little bit of dirty water will be diluted and/or filtered out.

I owned an fj80 landcruiser and now have a suburban 2500 with the 8.1. I put in a Yukon grizzley rear locker on my burb. I loved both, but I couldn’t tow my corvette with a trailer with the landcruiser, since it can only tow 5k pounds. My 2500 can tow over 10k lbs. Both are great on fireroads.

Thanks for this video. My wife and I have been going back and forth on which to get for our home. We live in a 1,500 square foot ranch home with forced air electric heat, it's extremely expensive and it simply cannot keep up with temps below 30 degrees. We are thinking we will get a pellet stove on the main level to be the workhorse and keep an eye out for an inexpensive used wood stove to put in our basement in case of power outages or extreme cold. Really helpful insight!

Pellett stoves are dangerous also. When you have a fire in the fire box, and loose power it keeps burning, even up the skew Ogar, DANGEROUSE.

It doesn’t keep burning. And even if it did, it’s in the box. I don’t even understand the logic of this comment. Wood stoves burn without power. Propane ovens burn without power.

quick question, about to buy the castle serenety.... how is the room fan? Basically, how far does it throw the heat forward? I bought a King KP5522-W and cant feel the blower output more than 4 feet away, and wont heat a 1000 sq ft open space more than 52 degrees after 16 hrs running when its 35 degrees outside

I’m looking at a pellet stove for my 30x40 shop I just built. The electric heaters are not capable of keeping it warm. I had a wood stove at my old garage, done buying truck loads of firewood and having it take up shop space, and it was a pain in the butt. But that place was in the country and I could use an old wood stove or barrel stove because there was no codes. The new shop is behind my house, in town and there are codes that make a wood stove not worth the cost or effort. Old wood stoves don’t meet code here. Plus I like that new pellet stoves have WiFi capability and I can start it from the house in the morning. My electric heaters are the same way. I can order a pallet of wood pellets from several stores in town and it will take up less space than a load of firewood. The power outage thing is no concern for me, if the power is out, I’m not working in the shop anyways.

The starting it from the house is a real benefit. The only thing to consider is pot cleaning. I have a schedule feature on mine where I can start it and shut it down at certain times, but I don’t use it cause I can’t clean the pot. I don’t think it’s a big deal. If it fails to start one morning whatever. I’m just anal about the pot. Get great clean burning pellets helps a lot. You have a good plan 👍

Wow, I've not seen the second angle camera that points down to get a better view of the Hitch. That's really freaking awesome! Actually. I have a backup camera on my Super duty (aftermarket), And it's surely better than nothing at all. But my biggest issue is that last 12 in knowing when to stop. That's usually the time where I'm in and out of the truck three or four or five times lol. What size is that garage?
@NickMango
@NickMango 16 күн бұрын
Yeah it’s a great camera. I don’t exactly understand how they do it cause it’s a normal backup camera too. Then you can hit a button to change it. Maybe they have 2 cameras in the tailgate. Garage is around 1400 sqft.

Pros and cons to both. I have a pellet stove with an outlet that runs to an external box to which I can connect an inverter style generator that is efficient enough to run the stove for about 16 hours on a gallon of gas. The generator was pretty affordable, and I just keep a 5 gallon gas canister in the shed for emergencies. I have pretty good electrical service, so I've only had to fire it up a couple of times, but it's nice to have the convenience of a pellet stove, with the ability to heat the house for a few days in a pinch in the event of a power outage.

The thing too is hopefully the line isn’t too crusty to allow the line to slide up and not damage the seal inside. Worthy note too is bleed off the pressure in the line before attempting this too. You won’t be able to push the lines together if you don’t. Plus you don’t want a shower of gas when the line comes off.

Great custom slide! Would it have been possible to have the bulbous end of the rivet concealed inside the slide instead of visible in the tray space? Also, it looks like you used something other than a rivet at the attachment of the aluminum angle tray at the back of the slide. Is it a rivnut?

Smoke? First toss the window coverings then paint top to bottom, most of what you're smelling will be gone. Second wash the, windows, cabinets and woodwork its a GOOD idea even without smoke damage and it helps. Then clean or replace the flooring. Oils cut oils, pine oil cleaners on wood but don't use them on carpet nor fabric where pine oil will later collect dirt. These are things you should do anyway less maybe painting ceilings. The smoke smell should be gone or 99% gone. For anyone who burns anything in the house this will be better than good enough. Really sensitive??? If there's an area you can't get to easy like air ducts, attics,,, you can use an ozone generator, it will travel as a gas and get to everywhere the smoke went destroy it and any mold in its path. DO not breath air out of professional ozone generators. Its not good to leave small ones on in the house while occupied either. Smoke shouldn't have been an issue unless you want to move in ready house but you might find a better deal on a smoky fixer upper.

i have two houses with woodstoves, and both have fans. i never run the fans, because the noise is annoying and i don't notice the fans helping much. sometimes i run a ceiling fan, and that's a quieter way to get heat moving around, especially from high in a cathedral ceiling, where it isn't doing much good
