What a great recap! We thoroughly enjoyed attending the 2023 event. Congratulations to LGNSW, host destination Northern Beaches Council, event partners and sponsors👏

TENANTS are 100% the worst offenders. I am ashamed of the flats where I am an owner as they chuck any stuff into the nearest bins.

You have to target TENANTS as they absolutely do not recycle anything. I get PAID to sort our recycling to a degree but draw the limit on food in recycling bins, which is a long standing problem with tenants despite signs painted on recycling bins!

Would make more sense for rural regional summits to be held in a central regional area, instead of Sydney! And how about LGNSW make these conferences and summits more affordable to councils so more councillors can attend!

Hope Tony A doesn't turn up he always walked as if he'd copped a nasty one in an RL scrum. Reading your tome "The Fairy Tale" nice.

Apparently it’s “a new advanced polyolefin plastomer surface which has a lower heat conductivity”. This is from the case study, which you can find here: www.lgnsw.org.au/common/Uploaded%20files/Environment/Climate%20Change%20case%20studies/UV_Smart_Cool_Playground_Case_Study_Cumberland_City_Council.pdf

Here's hoping Mr Chandler is healthy enough to withstand the "termiteing" that I fear will come his way. Btw how many parralels to this story exist in industries/proffessions across the board? I can name a few just from my own humble work experience. Also btw, just for shear entertainment if nothing else watch the movie The Big Short. I ended up watching it 5 times. No. 1, I just found it entertaining every time and 2. there's a lot of detail to pick up.

Kathryn Ridley played Alison Patterson in Home and Away in 1988. How cool to see her here! 👋🏼 (You can watch it on Amazon Prime)

I haven't watched home and away for a long time, but I did watch the first 3 or 4 years when I was a teenager. And I remember her character and the storyline. She wasn't one of the main cast members but her storyline was the most memorable for me. Troublemaking school girl turned gold digger. Made enemies with just about everyone. Think she ended up getting bashed once or twice, blackmailed and hated by everyone. Havent seen her in any other roles so if that was her only role, she done an amazing job. Great to see she's working in government these days and hopefully shaking things up a bit there. Good on her

Fantastic effort. It gives hope that may be heat island and climate change can be combated.

Very interesting and educative. However, the problem is how to imbed these measures into the procurement process and indeed in the production processes. Most industries mostly in the developing world lack this type of knowledge.

I will sign the petition once both parties agree to give third parties or private sector a chance to introduce their creative and design thinking on how to turn those recyclable plastics and glass into something else that boost the Australian economy.

great video. For me, this video highlighted the fact that minimizing environmental impacts from human activities isn't much of a technical solution approach, but about changing attitudes, mindsets and values in handling environmental goods. Thanks for the video.
