There's very few people who can take control of Dame Edna's show, Robin Williams made it his own.

As a Kiwi I should be offended by Barry's subtle put down with Madge. But the character is brilliant, how she can keep a straight face is amazing. As Dame Edna and her shows, sadly missed and now Robin as well.

Robin’s body language while seated shows he was very uncomfortable. I read that one of his close associates said that in a room full of people he was the guy you wanted to be with, the life of the party; but being alone with him on an elevator was extremely uncomfortable. The other side of funny is tragedy. Such a great talent, thank you for your gifts.

def a phenomenon: all talk show hosts lost control of their talk shows once robin williams was their guest! 🤣😍

She is SO Fake! She plays the ultra feminine, submissive 50s I'll-be-whatever-you-want-me-to-be-doormat to-the-male-ego persona that women's lib crusaders rebelled against in the 1970s. Unfortunately, that phony persona could not be sustained over time as people grew tired of the pretentious act which is ultimately shallow, empty and demeaning to a woman's right to value herself for more than just a sexual object or fantasy.

An underappreciated gem. Jayne Mansfield was a genius. Watch the clips her playing the piano and violin. She used her physical beauty to her advantage without being vulgar. Gone way too soon. R.I.P. Jayne.

As a casual Edna fan , its taken a while to realise what " her" hidden agenda has been with this kind of satire... To poke fun at , and deflate the idea of the worship of superstardom.. Almost like announcing the Emperor has no clothes ! Thats what makes it SO SO funny.!!! Cheers fellow possums..
