This is the price of Facism. You can see the innocence of the Cypriot people, Greek & Turkish. Most of the problems were driven due to Turkish Facism. Turkey was sending agents to island to start fighting. And, Greek EOKA B got involved with Junta. This is my opinion. Facism killed the innocence of the Cyprus people. You will never find the hospitality that Cypriot people had before 1964. Never. I live in Americas, facing other social issues, and to this day nobody invited me over for dinner. In Cyprus, I met people for few times, I was invited over for dinner and ate with the whole family, relatives included. What is sad, this generation that fed the poor, shared food, gave work to each orher... no longer exists. It shame to humanity, you never find this anywhere in planet. !!!! I would love to taste that dignity and hospitality in Cyprus, it is priceless... it is the best thing next to life.... yiu have no idea.... In Americas, in a city of 500,000 people there's hundreds or 1000 homeless that is visible. Its normal to them. I was child in Cyprus in 1980s-1990s, and we never seen homeless there. Never petty crime, I was sleeping in Nicosia at age of 5 with front door wide open to get "fresh air".. the only thing we thought about for danger was a snake... so my step grandma slept close by with a club, in case a snake came close.... imagine, now in Cyprus. All doors are locked.... its a disaster... The EU suck money out of Cyprus then they send you crime, then they put in media that Cyprus is full of criminals and money launders..... this is paid propaganda. Americas is biggest money launderer... you think they do nothing in Mexico, or etc. Think again.... Cyprus keeps getting targetted without good reasons. Very Sad... I would do anything to live in a pre-1963 Cyprus. You dont know what you had until its gone.

Everything you said is true, and I've thought a lot about the innocence that was, and where and when and why it disappeared; and about the lack of one single homeless person anywhere in my travels on the island as a descendant of Cypriots. I mourn with you. All I would add is: Let us not forget the rabid Greek nationalist fascism that marginalized, expelled and murdered so many of our Turkish language compatriots. Genuine unity, wanted from the heart, is the only way forward. And, there is no peace without justice.

Reminds me of the repeated response from my local MP, Hornsey district's Catherine West (purportedly and ironically an Australian): "I can't get involved; the matter is being heard in court; let the court process play out." While #Assange dies slowly in solitary in a 2-x-3-meter LONDON cell, charged with no UK crime, unconvicted and on remand. #FreeAssangeNOW

"WORLD LISTEN" this not a practice run, THIS IS REALITY, Julian Assange should not be released into the hands of the "corrupt broken down" puppet masters in America who "think" they can get away with pulling the strings any time any where, Julian is an Australian he is also a member of the Commonwealth and so should be protected and judged by the English government only, not sent to his obvious demise into the hands of the despicable American controllers.. England you are on trial here believe it, you can be HEROES for just ONE day if you judge this man correctly and humanly without prejudice... Otherwise ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOSE GLOBALLY./..
