Hmm... I'd suggest checking your comment history (go to History, then click the Comments link on the right), to see if any of the missing comments show up there or not. Knowing whether they still exist in the system _might_ help figure out what KZbin's doing... maybe? It's hard to tell, their system _is_ a mess.

That is strange, then, @@SomeGuy712x. I know KZbin is weird about comments sometimes, and they sometimes disappear, but having all of your comments disappear even though other people can comment on all of the videos you tried to comment on is _definitely_ suspicious. I half wonder if one of their screwed-up bots noticed that your comments have a lot of links, but couldn't figure out that they're _timestamp_ links, and randomly decided that timestamps are spam and/or malicious. It wouldn't be out of character for YT's system, really.

There is also the possibility that (just like with likes) KZbin _displays_ the comment or like being posted, but due to potential connection issues doesn't actually receive it on their servers. (Updates on the API side about 20 seconds later) It would correspond with @SomeGuy712x 's recent internet issues. (A good way to varify would be to check if some of your _likes_ have also been "erased", along with your comments).

There's a few potential causes for this issue: A) It's a shadowban. Hopefully not, but there's always the chance. B) There's some underlying connection issue with the YT Comment API. Either your comments aren't going through, or are being invalidated in some other way. The client would show that you have sent it for about 15ish seconds until it actually times out and doesn't send it. C) It's still being processed by some YT Automated system. If you check back later, and your comment appears again, this is probably why. D) There's something else I haven't considered. Those are the things that come to mind for me for why this might be happening.

I'm still not sure why this happens, but it's like a teacher reprimanding a student for getting a question wrong and not providing an explanation. For example: *Teacher:* What makes the sky blue? *Student:* I think it's sunlight reflecting off the oceans, which are also blue. *Teacher:* Wrong! *Student:* What? Why? *Teacher:* It's not the right answer. *Student:* But why not? *Teacher:* Hey, no talking back to me! Go to the principal's office right now. How is the student going to learn if no one shows where he/she went wrong? Even the school system needs an update. 🙄 (It's also like a parent punishing a child for breaking a rule he/she didn't know about.)

I still stand by my theory in the last video. *For the time being, perhaps we should upvote SomeGuy712x comments whenever we see them?* _If_ it is influenced by either non interaction or invisible downvotes by bots or so, upvoting existing comments should counteract the problem and show the KZbin system these comments are appreciated. As frustrating as it is, please don't let it frustrate you to the point of consuming your entire days and mood via lamenting and blogging, for such an ambigious issue. Research and inquiries are another thing though. Maybe try sending it to KZbin via the "Feedback" button in the menu that's called when you click your avatar. Alternatively send to KZbin via other means, though KZbin is notorius for not dealing with issues unless money and reputation is involved...

I actually did leave feedback last time this happened, and I thought maybe it actually helped, since I was able to start keeping my comments intact not long after that. However, this time around, I don't think the feedback is even going through. I typed out my issue in the feedback box like before, and clicked "Send". But, then the "Send" button just reappeared after about half a second, and didn't seem to do anything. I think the feedback function broke for me as well.

I’ve seen and heard of this happening to innocent comments across KZbin, so it’s not just you. I’m guessing it’s some new anti-spam thing they’re trying that’s prone to false positives. The fact that all comments are getting eaten might just be that they flagged you once so you’re on some kind of cooldown maybe? I really have no idea, but you are someone who consistently posts long comments, and maybe long comments trigger some kind of flagging mechanism. No idea, just guessing

I've taken the time to check what happens with every comment I make on this platform. There are different variations of their filters. One is almost immediate deletion like here. Another variant is that the comment is stuck in moderation. You still see it while logged in, but then the comment is not shown if for example you open a private tab. A third option is that a comment is only shown if you sort by new. For this option, I've seen the filter catch actual spam, so good job KZbin I guess. What's still unclear to me is the criteria for the filters. I've had comments that have nothing "wrong" with them still get caught. No links. No spamny keywords. No swear words. Nothing rude. Nothing political. In other words just a normal comment. And still the comment got filtered.
@WhimWidget14 күн бұрын
My assumption for the latter would be that it's ultimately, 'based on patterns on what's reported as spam or downvoted.' ...Which is arguably _the_ _worst_ way to handle immediate filtering, especially with zero feedback that such comments have been filtered. ...Slight tangent, but even worse if the way to appeal (announcing exceptional circumstances) about such things is _also_ through a system based on pattern recognition (a complete antithesis to bringing any exceptional circumstance or context to light).
