@@SharonWrightLA when I first saw that short film, I was literally so choked up and tearing up. It was so good! And then for a while I just didn't know where it went and I went like years and years and I thought man I wonder what happened to that really good video of the man with the change. And I never could find it! And just the other day when I typed in homeless man using change to help others, it went to a picture of the man in your video, and I finally found you again! Literally 10/11 years ago when I first saw it! That is just crazy! I'm glad you're doing well and I will look forward to your posts on Facebook or wherever you're on here. That was such a well-done short movie, I was just awestruck. Hopefully you can get more projects like that

@@billyidol2115 Thank you, I appreciate it. I have moved into commercial photography now and don't really make films - it's hard to top that one ;) Thank you for the very sweet words. All my best!

@@SharonWrightLA thank you so much for your creativity. I'll be looking forward to your photos on your social medias? But I just had to tell you how strange it was when I finally found that old short film you made. It was bothering me from time to time when I tried to find it to share it with others. And I finally watched it again and was still heartbroken and teared up by such a great message. Thanks again! Glad to hear you're still in the artistic professions

Something just reminded me of this video, and luckily I was able to find it again 12 years later. With COVID it is more pertinent now than even than. What a beautifully made video, and it still brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much Sharon for having such insight to create such a beautiful and inspiring piece of work.

Watch the kind of things this man does. He's observant, more than anything. He's also open to slowing down a few steps, which requires sometimes a change in priorities (Google "tyranny of the urgent" for some pointers). He's walking out on foot, which means he would have passed by the woman at the bus stop and Help wanted sign, would have felt the cold. I encourage you to do that more often in your area; it hard to observe by always driving. He noted the items one could buy cheaply and for others when at the store. While not always a priority, I encourage you to do that more. He saw the woman counting coins; the grocery line is where I most often use my change for others. The bonfire scene at night and uncovering the girl's face is not necessarily a situation I would find myself in, but I do find myself with extra time and so have spent time learning more about the reasons for homelessness in my area, and needs of homeless youth through volunteering and films like Lost in America, since my heart was getting a bit jaded.

short films like this have reminded me to keep an extra pair of good socks, a day pass, and matches in my purse, it's been good from the perspective of having something to offer. I get big bags of turkey jerky pieces in bulk and trail mixes at the grocery outlet store and put some in zippered sandwich bags to have with me to give out when I remember. When I was unemployed I'd regularly find a food distribution center/food bank to help stretch my savings and any unemployment $; it's humbling but helped me remember to give back. So thank you if you've ever donated your time and money to others.
