Hopefully, he will get it back down to that within a couple of years. I was just wondering where that price is so high so I can avoid that region like it has the plague. Make sure I don't plan any vacations in that direction.

I just got this today and I am comparing it with the Milwaukee....it's not as loud, so that's a good sign. If Flex would release some kind of theft protection to this as an add on, then I can take it to the job site. In the mean time, it would just sit at home. Speaking of quality control, I did pick up a narrow crown stapler at Lowe's and that thing was having misfires and it kept bending the staples. I ended up picking a Metabo HPT stapler and that boy is tiny and shoots flawlessly.
@TOOL_TECHNICAL8 күн бұрын
thanks for sharing proxy, i hear good things about metabo. as for theft, fasten it to a spot in view at all times or if outside to the tailgate of your truck. things that size have no real safety other than flex inventing maybe a chip inside that can "freeze" the tool with an app that can report it stolen. If you've seen my other flex videos I complain about the ones I got from lowes as there were issues. for the crown stapler i'd try another brand of staples to confirm that the staples are not the issue (same with nailers where some nail brands work better than others without jams). otherwise it's flex so assuming you registered the tools within 30 days it's a lifetime warranty so they will fix or replace it for you.

The problem i see with your test is egr. As stated below ive been running the best fuel available to me for a long time. But what stood out to me is. Some trips to the track were over 2 days and comming back home at night. Meaning running 2 days of wot basically. Even driving home through Germany the car stayed pretty wide open or about 100mph . Came home and my exhaust tips, on the inside, went from the usual black to a verry light rust color. This darkened again after a few shorter trips. Telling me egr still will ruin a bit of the good work your premium fuel is doing. Also contributing to your cleaning proces would be verry short oil change intervals. Like every 1000 miles untill you get pretty much clean oil when you are draining the car. Mine has never been black or anything close to it. A darker brown has been seen but this was after a 2 day stint about doubling my miles 😅
@TOOL_TECHNICAL13 күн бұрын
@glennverdeyen5685 for the average driver id say 3-5000 miles between oil changes (with a new filter) but yes you can shorten intervals if you notice your vehicle heats /cooks your oil more than usual. I'm not a fan of conventional oil so I'd say 3-5 k miles or 1 year (whichever comes first) with synthetic oil

The car is bone stock ecu wise and has intake mods and an intercooler. Things just made 341hp and 319 pound ft . After more the 4 years of hard track use. So make bank on it maintenance and good fuel is key to having a healthy engine. Oil changes have been done about every 700 miles. Soon ill be adding an oilcooler which means the intake has to come of the car. Im looking forward to making a little video of the inside of the engine. Excellent review! Very natural. Love the close up shots! More information about handle material and weight (feels lightweight or quite heavy), how is the handle made (with metal lining or one piece aluminum), pivot bearing material (nylon washers or metal) would be very helpful. Thank you for your time in making this VDO. Thanks for sharing!❤👍
@TOOL_TECHNICAL21 күн бұрын
appreciate the feedback. The dewalt is textured plastic unlike the milwaukee which is much smoother plastic (i like the tactile feeling better). the weight is no heavier than a basic screwdriver and feels very premium. I like tools that don't feel like they're gonna break easily. Both models have no flex in the handles so laying force into tougher materials is no issue but of course don't put any lateral tension on the blade as any blade will snap with enough side load. the handle seems to be heavy duty plastic with metal screws/inserts. the bearing is inside the head of the knife securely screwed to the handle instead of cheap knives that have bearings in the handle and adding the blade head to it. I'm not positive on the bearing but given dewalt used a variant of ball bearing on the tanto knives i'd assume they used something similar here. An overall good blend of metal and plastic. Too much metal = heavy but too much plastic = cheap/vulnerable. Hope that helps :) ~ Work Smart

If you are going to compare apples to apples, compare the DCE410 to the Milwaukee version that can also handle 1-1/2" tubing.
@TOOL_TECHNICAL21 күн бұрын
@danpidde9729 really doesn't matter here, the m18 non-fuel is 1000 bucks and the dewalt is only able to beat it with a 5 ah battery with one size. The fuel m18 expander is 1800 and even faster. There's nothing unfair here. Even the m12 fuel is faster but given the stress of 1" to 1-1/2" I'd leave it to the dewalt for versatility. If you're in a rush any of the milwaukees will do as well.

A note from a professional plumber. I tried comparing the rapid seal heads and the regular ones. You actually lose time with the rapid seals. Hear me out. I've compared both side by side on the job, in summer & recently in winter in a house remodel I'm finishing tomorrow. The rapid seal heads simply don't expand the pipe & ring as much. I usually expand 3-4 times once it bottoms out. And i started having problems getting the fittings in if i didn't rush to stab them in. So i ended up having to expand 5-7 times in the summer and 4-5 last week (mid November). So i think the regular heads save you time and money. Even in semi cold weather it doesn't take that long for the ring & pipe to close. Especially if you're putting your hand on the ring as you hold them together. And if you're a pro, you should be putting a heat gun on every joint anyway, even in the mid summer day. Especially if you needed to spin the fitting inside the pipe after joining them to get another fitting in or to get the tool in a tight spot.
@TOOL_TECHNICAL29 күн бұрын
@djaa7 always appreciate hearing different perspectives. It gets cold in my neck of the woods so winter performance with tools is something I look for. I get the appeal of rapid seal heads but as you said it is not that those heads make the fittings seal faster it is that they don't expand as much to minimize time before pressure testing. In the end, price can be the deciding factor. From my experience, I didn't have trouble with the fittings going in but certainly it is less forgiving than standard milwaukee and dewalt heads Happy Thanksgiving btw 🦃

@alarikaguilar7543 excellent question. Given that the dual charger can complete a 2.0 in 30 minutes we can roughly apply math (accounting for normal room temperature and no battery temperature delays) 2 ah × 6 = 12 ah and 30 mins x 6 = 180 minutes or 3 hours. The standard r86093 charges would take twice as long (~6 hours). The 6 port and dual port are 2x as fast as the standard

@cinepost 1. If it's under warranty I would dissuade people from it. 2. Sure if the battery is doing nothing, trying 14 awg with solid copper not feathered could be used. The issue is for people who may take razor blades or paperclips in alligator clamps to do it and melt things which can make the situation go from possible to ruined.
