ive learned to produce and was introduced to music theory through this style of music, a simple loop repeating on the background and some drums on top... but after a while I got so bored of the simplicity and the "more of the same" sound of these basic beats... then I bought a guitar and learned it, am able to actually make music instead of flipping samples around thinking im doing something... i just wanna ask: do you guys also feel the same?

Interesting that some people find it odd to drag and drop drum samples directly onto the playlist lol when i first started using FL back in 2011 making house music, i'd use the sequencer, but eventually noticed dropping onto the playlist allowed for quicker micro editing/adjustments rather than having to create "unique" patterns each time. Meanwhile, now I'm on Ableton and i use the drum rack on every production. It's definitely a workflow thing

Hey brotha could you possibly explain the numbers in chrod progressions for example when you say i have a 1 a 5 or a 6 progression, how do u identify a 5 or 6 progression i know the one is starting from the root note
@JASPERTUTORIALS
@JASPERTUTORIALS 2 күн бұрын
Yeah so if you have a key of A minor for example, which has the notes: A,B,C,D,E,F,G then A would be the first note, B the second, C the third etc. So a i-v-vi (one, five, six) progression would be chords with the bass notes A, E, F.

@JASPERTUTORIALS
@JASPERTUTORIALS 2 күн бұрын
I love Synthet's videos, although I wanted to make something that involved actual singing/ rapping along with the beat, rather than the Synthet style of commentating over the beat as it's playing if that makes sense? I would say his content has definitely inspired me to make more creative tutorials

@@JASPERTUTORIALS Would you consider this a new style? Because it uses everything from standard trap music we hear in beats every day. Hi hat tick not set to 4 to the floor rhythm, a clap, an 808 bass. Nothing here screams jazz. Just saying

This course is really useful. I just have a question about this video: why have you decided to render the initial melody as an audio clip and lowered by 3 semitons rather than building it directly in Fl Studio in the scale of G Minor? I didn't understand the reason for this additional step
@JASPERTUTORIALS
@JASPERTUTORIALS 6 күн бұрын
So rendering out an audio clip is also referred to as “bouncing audio”. Lowering the pitch of bounced audio will give a slightly different sound to lowering the pitch of the melody in the piano roll. It’s very similar, but to me it gives this slightly more authentic sound which I like
