How is C the 7th chord of G minor? Shouldn't it be F? (beginner to music theory)

Hi! I'm a bit confused by your comment - C isn't the 7th in a G minor chord, this would be F. I don't think I said anywhere in the video that C is the 7th?

@@ListenUpJames I was just confused as you said you'd use 7th chords for this beat but the 7th chord on the first note you played was F which you had replaced with C, that's all. Again I might be wrong as im a complete beginner to this. But please enlighten me on why you did this so I could learn :)

⁠@@HistoryCrazyYTso a seventh chord uses a root note, the third, the fifth and the seventh notes above the root in the scale. In this case for a C minor 7th chord, the notes would be C, D#, G and A#. It doesn’t matter what
