@texasruss14 сағат бұрын
Yes! I miss a few things from Texas. Catfish fried in cornmeal, tamales, chicken fried steak, BBQ, chili… I just made pinto beans here. They were expensive. $7.00 for a small bag. I made salsa and tacos also. Corn chips, salsa, cheese, beans and tortillas are expensive here. San Antonio may be the place for you to see for great food and a lot of fun attractions. Stay in touch if you go and I’ll give you a few suggestions of places to visit based on what time of year you go.

Really enjoyed your video, you are wise to focus on your health. You're a good man. Please don't assume Thai real estate is going to appreciate. Real estate is not the same type of investment vehicle in Thailand like it is in the States. I would advise A LOT OF CAUTION.
@texasruss5 күн бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I think buying older condos to renovate in tourist areas is a safe bet. I don’t plan to invest much because I don’t have much to invest. Worst case scenario is I end up with several places to stay in several tourist areas. I think Phukett, Pattaya, Chiang Mai… I may just use them like an Air B&B. I’m just in planning stages right now though. Thank you so much for watching! Hope you come back.

@ me too now hahaha. Also, I just want to say I admire how you can just turn on the camera and let your thoughts flow out naturally. I recently started filming and, I too, have these little interesting observations about Thailand, but it seems like every time I hit record, my mind goes blank and even though I wouldn’t normally not know what to say socially, it seems to happen when I know the camera is on me. So well done man, from one Texan to another.

Keep at it! That day it came a little easier than it normally does but also when you mess up just keep rolling, pause and start the whole sentence over again. I’m about to do a video on what I learned the first year as a KZbinr. The first thing is to just do it. Sure you want it to be good. You’ll spend 200 hours editing your first video (I did) and nobody will watch it anyway. Just make them and start putting them out there. You’ll improve. I can’t wait to see what you upload! What part of Texas? I’m from Joshua just a few minutes South of Fort Worth.

@texasruss7 күн бұрын
I currently live in Jomtien. I’m just based there until next October while I look for my permanent home. I have a few criteria for my permanent place. It has to be secluded but 20 minutes to the convenience of a town with good supermarkets and conveniences. I am planning on selling my land in the US to buy something here. I’m only bringing what I can get on the airplane. Filling my suitcase with western food, and some of my cooking stuff, I’ll pay a little extra to bring a couple of my favorite guitars and the rest will be sold, trashed or given away. Yes. I’d be happy to help you get settled here. Feel free to contact me and I’ll look into anything you may need help with.

Definitely will keep watching, and I have subscribed. Knee deep in numbers and procedures regarding Thialand. Seeing that now is the best time, weather wise to visit. Jomtien and that coastal area.......why that location and area? The best airport to commute with and carry on ward would be in Bangkok? Do you have an email address. Monty
@texasruss6 күн бұрын
Yes. This is the start of high season in Thailand. Most people find the rest of the year too hot or too wet. I find high season too crowded for my liking. Roads are too congested with tourists to get where you’re going safely and efficiently. Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok is usually the best place to enter Thailand. I see there are other options to fly straight to Phukett or a couple of other cities but they are always more expensive. Once you enter Thailand from Bangkok you can fly to Phukett or Chiang Mai or wherever else you may want to go for about $35.00 but the trains and bus services are also cheap and easy. I rode the buss home from Bangkok yesterday for 143 baht or $4.16 US yesterday. About an hour and a half ride or you can take a taxi for 1000-1200 baht $30.00-$35.00. My email is on my page somewhere but I’ll edit the page to make it more visible. It’s [email protected]
