@@texasruss You've inspired me and my girlfriend to buy cowboy hats, they seem perfect for the Thai weather! We might be visiting Pattaya after the new year, but ive heard mixed things, how is the vibe? Keep up the great videos, currently watching your bike tour 2023 video, great stuff!

@ I guess the vibe depends on who you talk to. Thailand can be brutal or it can be wonderful. Shoot me an email and I’ll help you plan a great trip. Give you a bucket list of places to see and food to try. I even have a few phone numbers of tuk tuk drivers and such that speak good English. I guess I need to make a video on travelers making a first trip here. I get the hats at gas stations and flea markets in Texas. $15.00-$20.00 I get a bootlace and thread it through, add on a little plastic draw string keeper and make my own stamped string for when I’m riding the motorbike. Cheap. My email is Russmiester64@gmail.com if you want to know more. Hope to see you guys in January!

I know you are living your best life there Russ. I was there in 2012 and loved it.....went scuba diving in Koh Tao and toured Bangkok! Patrick from Houston! My Dad grew up in Cleburne as well!

Cool! It’s a small world. Ask him if he knows about Goat Neck, Brazos Point or Fall Creek. Some of us 80’s kids hung out there when they were making the greatest music.

They were seasoned and grilled perfectly. They were seasoned with garlic and those red Thai chili peppers. Spicy but not too much. Perfect!

Texas is a place I want to go to. Mainly for the food lol
@texasrussКүн бұрын
Yes! I miss a few things from Texas. Catfish fried in cornmeal, tamales, chicken fried steak, BBQ, chili… I just made pinto beans here. They were expensive. $7.00 for a small bag. I made salsa and tacos also. Corn chips, salsa, cheese, beans and tortillas are expensive here. San Antonio may be the place for you to see for great food and a lot of fun attractions. Stay in touch if you go and I’ll give you a few suggestions of places to visit based on what time of year you go.

@texasruss Just make you appreciate the weather over there I just put the recycling ♻️ out and can not feel my fingers. -34

Oh my! That’s too cold! I was in Colorado once and it was -18 but I was comfortable because it was so dry. Texas cold cuts right through you when it’s below 40 because it’s also humid. Nothing is worse than wet cold…except maybe -34. It’s 6:25 AM here in Jomtien today and it’s already 72.

We all know why your moving there Russ. Those ‘bar girls’ sure are pretty 😅
@texasruss2 ай бұрын
Some of those ain’t girls too. Yeah pretty girls are abundant out here but I didn’t come for that. I came to ride a motorcycle across Thailand alone. I don’t mess with the girls here because I’ve got places I want to see and a short time to get there.

@@texasruss Whatever tickles your fancy, Russ. I left Jomtien two days ago and now in Chiang Mai for a week. I am considering moving part time to Thailand. So far, my heart and soul is drawn to Pattaya / Jomtien. Rayong is too calm, Sriracha too industrial, Bangkok too busy, and so on. Oh, and BTW, I am motorcycle endorsed in my home state Louisiana, but gave up riding about a decade ago. Still keep my endorsement though!

Riding out here is fun and terrifying at the same time. I got a story to tell on an upcoming video about a bad wreck i was in here in March. It was a miracle someone didn’t die. I’m tired of the traffic here close to the beach. I’m happier out in Eason. I like the country people. Farm communities. I’m not a drinker. I don’t know how I ended up in Pattaya/Jomtien area.
