As An Accomplished Drummer, I have always played close attention to different Dummers and their signature sound. Ricky Lawson (R.I.P.) had that "In The Pocket"/Locked Grooves (Piccolo Snare, Pop, in the cut type of style. That's why he did a lot of studio work, on many levels and styles of music. Great Drummer !!

I'll never understand the logic of "do a perfect tight ending and then ruin it into a cliched vamp ending". It's like righteously kicking someone's ass and then making them slap themselves a few times before walking away.
