Well, "You fucked-up". But apparently, you both lived. And the both of you were able to "Get the hell out of Dodge". And back to Europe. Screw the bike. "They didn't stop making motorcycles, did they"? Nope, they didn't. I've ridden all over, "I lost count at (48) countries". And at that point "The count" no longer meant anything to me...". And I have the scars to prove it. But, I always either went "alone". Or with one other "male" friend who I knew could take care of himself in a bad situation. "Not" a wife/girlfriend etc. I simply told them "NO", But then, "I try not to be stupid". "Because you cannot FIX stupid"! "That" was always my policy, "If you will". At least for everywhere I went to ride "outside" of the lower (48), in the USA". Well, Except for "Guam" and even that was a mistake! I am going to say this just as nicely as I can. The "route" you took? Was just plain "Stupid". And then, that particular route with (2) people, on (1) bike? Again = "Stupid". Now, having the 2nd person on that ride being a young, and very attractive "white female", that you love and are married to? That was just far, FAR, "BEYOND Stupid"!! I have been to some of those countries. But, only because I "had" to go to some of those you passed through. "Veteran, U.S. military". And my "homework" which I always did, before going to foreign lands. Told me that in a few of those countries? And this is, "Regardless of what the (politically correct) would have you believe". In a few of those countries, they (still) have problems with "Cannibalism".... Not to mention about (10,000) other highly problematic things.... " And this is from a guy who used to "fight" for a living", as in "professionally". I do not know "any" of what happened to the two of you in order to terminate your ride early. But I pretty much already "know" what happened... And both of you, in my estimation are very lucky that the journey didn't end "VERY badly". If just (1) of you had "Gone down hard", in some of the rougher areas? Unless you were holding a charged "Sat-phone" when that happened. Able to still set it up and utilize it. With someone that answered on the first call try. And further, that person would of "had to of had", "Unlimited Resources", AND the will to spend a good amount of those resources. In order to, "And this is best case scenario", (Save your asses)! Because just going down hard otherwise? That would/could have been a "Death Sentence". "Easily"! Just a flat-tire could have been catastrophic in some areas!! Regardless, "You played stupid games. Made stupid choices. And then won stupid prizes". So basically? "That's Life"! "When you do things such as that". So quit your whining! Stand-Up. And be a man! Sincerely, Copperhead

Not only the traffic is crazy. You ridding behavior is crazy too. Look at 4:40 how fast you were ridding at night and almost caused an accident, while the others riders were ridding slowly smh! 6:18-6:32 that is too crazy, poor vendor was scared by you at 6:18 and that was not cool of you! I hope karma will no longer sleep....

Oh damn what the fuck was wrong with you guys at 0:48 - 1:00 and 3:07 - 3:37 ??? You should shame on you as descendants of the colonialists! You took advantage of white privilege by illegally driving on the sidewalk to avoid paying a toll, even if it would only cost you 500cfa = 0,76€! I don't know why 0,76€ should be a lot for you, but if you are going to drive on the road there, you clearly have to pay toll, because as shitty tourists you are not taxable there! So please respect the rules of the respective country and be a role model for other globetrotters in this regard! Or do us a favor and fuck off back to Spain! Don't tell me that in your shitty home country Spain you wouldn't consider it disrespectful but cool if foreigners, especially refugees, pollute and vandalize your home country. I have my damn doubts. I am European and know many Europeans who are constantly whining when their country has to take in refugees according to the EU Commission's decision and that is exactly what the majority of Spanish politicians and citizens of your home country have been doing in recent years (I bet you have too): Whining whining and whining. So behave yourself or let me hope karma will strike back asap🙄

You're both so young with so much life ahead, together or apart. I've seen relationships end on KZbin channels of people you'd never think would go their separate ways, but it happens. I came to your channel from a comment Mimi made on Itchy Boots. I felt the excitement building from your early videos and was surprised to see how you both dealt with challenges. I'm hoping this isn't the end for the both of you, because you can look back on this amazing adventure together for the rest of your lives. They say, with age comes wisdom. Well, I'm pretty old and I say to both of you, whatever it was that caused this, you can overcome it....... if you want. Best of luck.

Still enjoying this trip. But, how did you find petrol inside the bush to do a shortcut through the jungle between Enugu and Abuja, instead of using the paved roads? By the way, remember there is an active civil war in Western Cameroon. So think well whether you want to risk it. Safe trip and take care of Mimi..

Exactly before we left Enugu we filled up till max and just went with it. after the jungle we found petrol near by Lokoja if I'm not mistaken. On all roads we have covered with our moto we never used extra petrol can.

Very good that you stood up to that corrupt policeman looking for how to delay you to extort money from you. Good job for not giving him any bribe. That was many Nigerian policemen's scheme of "stop and search" was really meant to extort from you.
@ridewithmimi
@ridewithmimi Жыл бұрын
They have always tried to put some schemes. Almost every single African country we have been in. But not all of them are bad, some are put in really bad spot, where they can not get water or snack, so they have asked for food or water that we rarely decline, if we have enough for a day for ourselves.

@26:10, that is the type of criminal neglect by Nigeria's federal government leading to decayed road infrastructure and everything else that compels the people of that region agitate to be in their own country away from Nigeria. The worst federal roads can be found in the southeast region of Nigeria due to neglect of the area by Nigeria's federal government.
@ridewithmimi
@ridewithmimi Жыл бұрын
Yes that was quite visible, specially when You get closer to bigger cities. It’s quite depressing knowing the fact that the country is beautiful and full of resources. If the road would be better, I’m sure it would open even more doors. China builds loads of roads and bridges, but it is not so much for the people’s benefit as for themselves. It’s hurtful to see huge bulks of timber exported, no trees get planted in their place and villages who are living in the forest do not get huge benefits. They do not get their moneys worth…

@20:00 I love how you say F...Me! 😂😂😂 Why did you not go through the highways to Enugu instead of village paths? I wonder why you still took the route after the local @19:05 told you it was "NOT GOOD". Did you think he was joking?😂😂😂 . Most village roads in Nigeria during the rainy seasons from May to October are often impassable. Nice video! Thanks for sharing and i hope you enjoyed your trip!

We were were thinking about turning back, but by turning back we would have needed to take same route and that in our mind was already challenging. The further we went, less we wanted to turn around. It was not possible to walk in the mud, if the motorcycle stops it starts to sink, turning around was no option no more. Yes, we made a mistake, took a risk by yet again trusting Google maps too much..
