seems like foreigners who learn chinese were just as hard as us😢(as a chinese senior high school student who loves literature but just can't be able to read English books😭)

I am a chinese student who love literature. I am so glad to see chinese literature is being noticed by the world! As a chinese reader, i highly recomend poems of 海子. His romantic lines will sure make you be addictied! I think his peoms do not contein a lot of hard words. Sometimes it is hard to understand his poetic metaphor and simbol. These are some poems I found easy to understand. 《日记》、《面朝大海春暖花开》、《黑夜的献诗》、《九月》

Before you applied for sinology have you studied chinese before?if you don't mind me asking what would you like to do with it in the future?😊im considering sinology as my uni degree so I'm curious. Sending love❤

No, I've started studying Chinese for the first time when I got into Sinology. I actually studied Korean before, so I had zero knowledge of Mandarin 😭 However, I plan on working as an consultant for firms working with Chinese businesses or in translation :) If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask me! ❤️

Hi! So sorry about this late reply, however, I'm at University of Zurich and I have to say that the curriculum is quite diverse and you can choose modules ranging from language, ancient chinese, society and sociology, history, politics & more! You can easily find the niche that you want to focus on :)

Hi, is sinology useful degree? What can one do with it iff they're not striving to be in politics.
@qiaokelimlk Жыл бұрын
Hi! Well, I asked myself the same question before I enrolled in Sinology. The undeniable fact is: the demand for staff with an expertise in China is growing. The good thing about Sinology is that there are many opportunities open for you, especially depending on your your minor degree you take. For example you can take politics as you said, or economics, education and combine it with Sinology. As for in the future you might consider working in these areas: International business, including international trade Government and politics Law, particularly commercial law Media Education, including teaching Tourism Intelligence So, as you can see, there are many possibilities and those I mentioned are not even all! You can work as a journalist if media is your passion, or teach in China or teach Chinese in your home country. Or you might even work as a consultant to firms in communications or marketing. If that’s not attractive enough, you can even choose to stay in the science field and do your own researches. But in general, your Chinese expertise will not go to waste for sure. ;) I hope this answer might help you. <3

Hey, thanks for the video💕 I'm starting to take Chinese courses soon and it's so hard to find inspiration. What pencil do you use and in which thickness? I've heard that using a thin pen is good for beginners. What are your thoughts? :)
@qiaokelimlk2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Thin pens are my personal favourite! You can precisely exercise every stroke you write and control it a lot better than thick ones. I also have a whole video on this issue: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYimgXWhpNSApcU

There is that video on the internet where a guy writes absolutely perfect 楷書 with a ballpoint pen and it still blows my mind. I have no idea how I would even make those shapes with a ballpoint pen in a single pass.
