Question. If you can answer. When going around 80 mph I feel like going over little bumps, I know that the control arms are going bad but going 70 it feels right. Could be that a complaint when control arms are bad? The tires are good. Thanks 👍

I had my local independent Toyota/Lexus shop do a drain and fill for mine at 150k miles along with coolant and diff. Hopefully I'm good until 200k. I'm still burning a quart of oil every 1k-1.5k miles. It's the only thing I keep a pretty close eye on at this point. I still keep looking for fun at 2016-2017 model years which seem to be the absolute best for the 460

If it’s gets worse with the oil consumption could be bad piston rings that’s locked in position which is digging a groove in you engine block unfortunately when this happens you have to replace the short block big job had to do it on mines same problem 2012 Ls430L AWD😢

@Itsjustblue247 I've been using treatment at every oil change and it seems to be slowly going up between needing to add oil as carbon build up gets cleaned out. The independent mechanic says it's pretty normal on this engine and has zero worries. My plan is to keep it for another 50k miles. It's meticulously maintained and cared for so when I do sell it I want it to go to someone who will really appreciate it

So I tried this mic mod but went through all that trouble and now I get no mic. Tried diffrent microphones and no dice. I had an electrician buddy of mine do this with me in case I screw something up. He was puzzled that it didn't work. My radio does not have a gain option nor a option to choose external or internal mic. The internal mic that I removed was the only mic that ever worked. I even bought a USB mic and connected it to the USB of the radio and never worked either..... So frustrating.
@LILEVO

I think the better way might be to completely drain the pan and get as much out as you can first. Once this is done, measure the amount removed and pump back in the exact same amount and then proceed as shown in the video. Unless I have misunderstood something, you pumped fluid straight into a full pan of dirty fluid? Isn't it better to get all that out first to avoid too much mixing of old and new fluid?
@LILEVO
@LILEVO 25 күн бұрын
You can do it this way, but by the time 12-16 quarts go through it's all going to be flushed out anyways. I don't know what happens inside the pan or how much fluid is coming back when pumping it out at the radiator. Is the pan emptying when the car is running or is dirty fluid being pumped back into the pan at all times?
@robertr9372
@robertr9372 25 күн бұрын
@ So by removing the line from the radiator, you have interrupted the flow back to the pan. So when you pump back into the pan, it stays clean. For this reason I just thought it’s best to drain completely first. I did this same thing on my 2013 Toyota Highlander and I think this method you’re showing is the best.
@LILEVO
@LILEVO 25 күн бұрын
@robertr9372 what does it matter then for the first refill? The pan would be empty after that first purge then you're filling an empty pan. There wouldn't be any dirty fluid in there
