YES, there are personalized settings that can be changed at the dealership (turn off daytime running lights, how long mirror lights stay on, which doors unlock from driver handle, etc..) Steering wheel is original; they all look off likely due to sun.

this stuff can be programmed with a $20 OBD2 Bluetooth scanner and a smartphone app.

That’s an original steering wheel. The wood never matched Birds Eye maple on the dash.

Interesting, thanks!

@@LILEVO. I bought an 06’ yesterday with only 119k on it. Take a guess what I paid.
@LILEVOАй бұрын
@mdoneg probably stole it at 7k! I see them anywhere from 10-20k. There's a few wild ones for 25-27k on ebay

Yup. I was just gonna type it lol 😂 so glad my 2001 ultra has the ash wood. Haha it matches 😊

That is a UNICORN right there!! Great find!!! The good ones always go fast!! I have a black 05 since Dec 2019 i just gave to my son as his first car bc he just passed his road test. About a month ago picked up another 05 in Flint Mica on Black with Chrome 5 spokes. Has30K more miles than mine but its cleaner and as up to date on maintenance as Ive ever come across personally. But I'm still looking every day lol

Beautiful car, most likely that’s the original steering wheel. It’s very common for the wood grain change color due to the sun exposure causing it fade. You usually see that with cars that aren’t garage kept

Congrats on your purchase, looks like a good one! For 360k miles, there is not a lot of service history logged on My Lexus. Also, there is not a single record of timing belt change, although it should've had it changed at least 2 (really, 3) times. Did that concern you?
@LILEVOАй бұрын
@lugburz7539 no, it just means it was changed somewhere other than a dealer. The belt and water pump was changed about 5k ago at the prior owners small repair shop. It's good if the car was maintained at Lexus. Not so good if they do all their own work or use independent mechanics

It's really just another tool to have in your pocket during negotiation or seeing if the seller is full of it, or the mileage is not correct, or other hidden issues.

@@LILEVO alright, awesome! I'm gonna catch up with the videos you've put up so far and keep following you, I just love LS430 contents!

My UL steering wheel doesn’t perfectly match either, and it’s even more glaring because of the Antiqued Walnut trim everywhere else. I think it’s original.

As clean as it is for the year I was thinking it has under 100,000 miles, forgot you said he drove state to state, did not expect over 300,000 miles, Toyota taken care of, doesn't surprise me though
