Love it ❤ remember fondly as a 14 year old building mini bikes in my garage ‘ mounting gas motors on bicycles ‘ my cool neighbour had one of these, every time he rode by he would wheelie past my driveway and give me the thumbs up. Had many bikes over the years but never got my hand on one of these. 😢

Bought a '72 Commando 750 in 1974 for $1200.I do remember cruising along in South Gippsland at 90mph,it was like no other bike i had owned. You have done a magnificent job in recreating the sounds of those engines back then.

The old Brits had great sounding motors, better than Harleys, Ducatis, Guzzis...you name it Brits got it.

I have a 71' Norton Commando 750 Interstate and also changeable to Roadster tank and seat. I use to ride it to my National Park Service job as a ranger. Still have it in the back room, and have not ridden it in over 25 years. Just look at it now and then and remember those rides; the sound. You have to hear it with your ears and feeling it rumbling under you. No other motorbike like it. Would like to ride my '71 Norton 750 Commando again and I'm 73 now... But wife says "No way! But I will some day soon.

Ah that sound of a British Twin! Straight out Speed is not as thrilling as Quickness and fine handling. The Brits did a wonderful job at doing just that, but the Japanese had other Plans and put together wonderful machines.

I bought a new Bonnie 750 in 1975 Meridan bike. But always wanted a Commando . But was 20 years old when I bought the Bonnie and haven’t ridden since I’m now 69 and think to old now.

So, way back then, they had linked braking, that has become common in recent years. Norton fastback 😍. Some great engineering comes from Moto Guzzi. Even twin front discs on a 500 👍. Sounds nice too, a little Ducati like. Moto Guzzi is a survivor, still making Decent bikes that are also survivors, built to last. Congrats to Moto Guzzi!

Does my soul good to hear a Commando at full throat. I haven’t ridden mine in many years as age and electric start have taken over. I still have my two 68 Fastbacks, a 72 Combat and a 74&5 Roadsters along with my 63 65 SS.

So nice bike! I own a breva 750 2009 model and I m really happy with her but I think that the real guzzis are those before moto guzzi sold to the piaggio group, I would love someday to own a monza or even better LE mans (dream bike to me)

Fifty years later. The pinnacle of motorcycling right here. It doesn't matter how many brake horse power modern motorbikes has. This is it 😎

In 1993, I had a 1975 850 Commando get a frame up restoration by TC Christensen, of SunsetMotors. He updated the ignition, did some tricks with both the engine and suspension. What a fun bike to ride. For seven years it was my only motorcycle. It took double-time maintenance to keep it running right. When it ran right, it was awesome. I remember both of those days well. 😂.......it really was a nimble little fucker through the curves. I'd run it against anyone. It is the only motorcycle, out of six Harley Davidson motorcycles and four PII built Indian Motorcycles...... plus my first motorcycle, a mortally wounded 1974 Norton 850, that I am sentimental about. RIP Hogslayer.

How this wonderful video takes me back to my ownership of a 1972 Commando in the 1990s! (By the way the "58 bhp" was more like 54 in reality. Still plenty. As for the 190kg "wet" weight. That was "dry")

We’re unique and impossible to forget, saved my life once due to the flexibility of her frame Hidrolastic, Ithink it was. Made mistake of selling her and exchanged for a Kawa400, triple cylinder. Memories again. Thank you for making this videos, will follow you!!!!! Cheers!!!!

That snore when you're scrubbing speed and dropping cogs for a tightish turn is awesome with the reverse cones . But I'd change them for black caps for long distance . And narrower bars improved the steering , specially if it's blowy .
