The Submarine was a Deception

I just seen this. Its better than I thought but I would still like a more serious version for adults with the Bumblebee cyberton opening scene style. Transformers One was good tho. I like the side characters designs more than the main characters. The Desepticons looked good. After they got their spark midway through it really picked up. The fight scenes were nice.

I have never been a big fan of Transformers but this movie got me invested in the characters more than anything I have watched. It had an a effective story for turning Optimus and Megatron into enemies and set a solid foundation for what I assume will be a trilogy of films. I’m on board to see what else they’ve got. Great review!

My one issue was that many times there was do much going on that I missed a ton of stuff on the screen.

DOTM soundtrack is honestly one of the greatest sequel soundtracks that's ever been orchestrated.

DOTM captured lightning in the bottle. While, I didn't enjoy Optimus killing Megatron, it was VERY musch so justified.

Fun fact: the 1st trailer was initially gonna be the whole tone for TFOne, Hasbro wanted to make it a kids film with tons of humor everywhere. But Josh Cooley changed it to being a darker toned film, which’s why the trailers were deceptive.

I have to be honest , I did not expect this movie to be this awesome❤

I don't know if you know who Perspective End is on KZbin, but I have begun to agree with his take on Transformers One. While a very good movie, I agree with him that the character development from D-16 and Orion Pax to Megatron and Optimus Prime, respectively, was too abrupt and didn't have the time necessary to be fleshed out properly in a single movie, and the character arcs should've been carried at least into Transformers Two and possibly Transformers Three before their ultimate tranitions take place. There wasn't nearly enough time in a single day on Cybertron for D-16 and Orion Pax to transition from best friends who have each other's back no matter what to bitter enemies as the leaders of two opposing factions. It felt rushed to get them to the characters we know and love before they had a chance to really do the things necessary to become those characters.

I was thinking about this. D16 says'he's done saving' Orion but ironically, I think its been Orion trying to save or lift up D16 the whole time from the beginning, even going so far as to have himself blown to smithereens to save D16 from himself and the horrible road he's running out of control down. Granted at first I was a bit annoyed with Orion arrogantly just assuming he knew what was good for hisfriend and putting him in situations he didnt really consent to, but I think he knew there was a point to it that deep down everyone deserves to live their full potential and get joy from that and you see in D's face esp in the Iacon race despite himself this what he's starting to experience. We can see that he truly cared for his wellbeing and that he innately knew he needed to loosen up and all the talk in the world wasnt going to work with him. And that we see from all previous or 'future' altercations between them or how Optimus interacts and lifts up others, he probably would never have stopped nor ever gotten sick of it. Hell even in fight to the death scenes he never pulls the trigger fast enough and would still always hesitate it used to drive me nuts. So anyway, yeah D, I guess he's going to have to stop saving your ass from yourself now that you've let him go and completely abandoned your blown apart, dying best friend into the dark abyss like garbage.

When I comes to the voice, I know that Optimus has to be hundreds of years old and after hundreds of years of battle wrenched war, it makes sense from an aging standpoint that his voice goes from Chris hemsworth to Peter cullen
