Fantastic, I like your style! I'm not from Grangetown, but I worked in and around there for years. I can remember places like the Lyric and Lannys. I used to work for Cunningham's on Lee Rd and also Fox's after the bridge came down. Was the shop opposite the Lyric called Masseys? The photo of the truck outside Lannys, when was that taken? Keep up the good work.

I was born in Vaughan street and lived up until I was 21 in teesville . I've travelled and lived all over the world and the UK . You're videos fill me with a sense of melancholy and a wish that things could be as they were . I'm 59 now and visit my elderly dad who's in a care home on the trunk road . Things are the same but different. You do really good work, thank you .

Fantastic video . my Nana told me that Grangetown was once a rich little town. Because the was plenty of work for everyone. Not just for people who wanted to work in the steel industry or tin mines, there was every kind of shop you could ever need, pubs and clubs filled with people and little cottages industry, like tailors to alter and make your clothes cobbler's to repair shoes, bike repairs . I remember a man who repair watches from the front room of his house . That was back in the day . when we invested in people.

Hello John. A Big Thankyou for watching and your nice comments on this video and the others, much appreciated👍 Thankyou for sharing your picture as these videos would not be possible without people like yourself. Thankyou also for letting me use it 👍Ive just looked and noticed I have not included your name. I always leave it blank in the description box if I do not know who owns the original. At one time I had screenshots of every picture & owner but had to start again after an error 5 years ago so I'm more than happy to write your name in the description, which one is yours ?

I used the ‘Grangetown in Times past’ saved website on the ‘Web Archive’ i did have their names appearing on the screen but in the end i went with the current caption because I’ve only recently started using captions on the ‘then’ pictures and at the moment I’m wary of over doing it and taking peoples eyes away from what are class old pictures . Thank you ...what a great surprise moment when Alexandra Road popped up at 13.25 ... it was where I was born and where my Grandma and Grandad lived. I always remember all the front doors slamming early in the morning and then the sound of boots as Grandad and others made their way to work. Over 70 years ago now .. but I remember it still.

This degradation is not merely an act of clumsiness! This is complete and utter lack of humanity. The men who were responsible for this - are very callous - to the point of being sociopathic. Who was responsible? What was the process? You must organise to oppose conservatism within the party which purports to be anti-conservative! Talk a little each day.
