Also show that block before the dunk, lebron sent his shit and Dwight cried to the refs and Dwight had that little 30 to lebrons 49 points this game, Dwight is not better, he just had the better team

people say dirk had zero defense and everyone can agree he wasn’t great on that end… but statistically his defensive win shares per 48 mins played are basically average for his position in all time ranks. Par for the course. He and KG both won a title and lost one each, and they were very different players in each’s respect… but can anyone on here saying KG was better claim KG changed the game? Dirk changed the game for big men. Didn’t have to leave his team for a Big 3 like Ray Allen and Paul Pierce to get his ring either. I’ll take average on defense/all time great on offense and literally forever game-changing over great defense/good offense…. all day

There's one thing modern players definitely have over those from previous generations. Today's players definitely can handle and shoot the ball at an incredible rate, from positions 1 through 5. The skillset is constantly innovating and evolving. But one thing they absolutely do not have is defensive IQ. Very few teams are able to properly perform triple or even quadruple rotations, or even get leave themselves vulnerable on the first rotation, but only for the help helper to clean up around the rim. Today's players can't even guard 1v1, although credit to the on-ball skill level being at an all-time high. However, the fundamentals just aren't there anymore. They cheat way too much and then try to bail themselves out by reaching around the back to try and back-tap the ball to a teammate. They take themselves out of position for a secondary rotation and it's honestly frustrating to watch. For me, Draymond Green for the Warriors from 2015-2019 was a treat to watch. His defensive IQ was gaps ahead his peers and the way he would QB the Warriors' rotations defensively was just a masterclass on most nights. Jarrett Allen is another guy who, IMO, doesn't get enough respect defensively. His movement defensively, for someone his height, as a help defender, is often smooth. He's definitely a throwback where he ends up being the guy having to clean up at the rim when the rotations get triggered and the ball ends up at the low block or a baseline drive/dunker position. He always challenges at the rim and never cares about being postered or caught in a viral video highlight that may travel the internet (unlike 80% of big men nowadays).

Dwight was a great player, top 75, but we shouldn't elevate him in conversations he doesn't belong in. He was a better Clint Capela with a superstar personality but nowhere close to the best centers ever. as the n.1 option on a team Dwight didn't win. as the n.2 option to Kobe or Harden he didn't win. he won as the 7th-8th option on the bench of a superteam. Rudy Gobert placed in the league in 09' with less chances of taking him out of the paint would be as impactful as Dwight.

Jordan has a higher game-winning/tying percentage than LeBron both in the playoffs and Finals *Playoff game-winning/tying attempts with 25 seconds or less* - Jordan 10/19 (53%) - LeBron 10/29 (34%) *Playoff game-winning/tying attempts with 5 seconds or less* - Jordan 5/11 (45%) - LeBron 7/19 (37%) *NBA Finals game-winning/tying attempts with 25 seconds or less* - Jordan 4/8 (50%) - LeBron 0/7 (0%) At the time of this video, LeBron was - 8/24 on playoff game-winning/tying shots with 25 seconds left - 5/14 on playoff game-winning/tying shots with 5 seconds left - *KZbin: Shannon "Charlatan" Sharpe + Nick Wrong - Caught Fabricating LeBron's Clutch Stats* Since then LeBron - made one against the 2018 Pacers (Game 5) - missed one against the 2018 Raptors (Game 1) - made one against the 2018 Raptors (Game 3) - missed one against the 2020 Heat (Game 5) - missed one against the 2023 Nuggets (Game 4) Which means we add 2/5 to his total (all of which were under 5 seconds left) Manually count all game-winners here to verify Jordan's 5/11 with 5 seconds or less - *Chasing 23: Michael Jordan: Game Winning Shots* This ESPN article confirms Jordan's 9/18 with 24 seconds or less. Count the flu game-winner with 25 seconds left and it's 10/19 - *ESPN: Today's crunch-time best vs. Air Jordan* And Jordan's last two game-winning misses were desperation heaves with less than a second remaining (1998 ECF Game 6, 1998 Finals Game 4) which deflated his percentage. The only LeBron clutch miss that was a desperation heave was 2020 Finals Game 5. LeBron also missed a game-tying shot with 26 seconds left in Game 4 of the 2023 WCF vs the Nuggets which isn't included in the above stats. Jordan is factually the most clutch player in playoff/Finals game-winning/tying situations. Nobody else has a similar percentage on a comparable amount of attempts. LeBron has more buzzer beaters on a lower percentage because of way more attempts (and misses).

This vid is so biased. Quite a few of Lebron's blocks in this series were against Howard. They're just not in here. Not to mention, Lebron isn't primary defender on these plays. That's because switching smalls on centers didnt really happen until around the time Lebron went to Miami. He notably put on enough muscle during that time to weigh 280, too. He used to switch on Duncan etc and have really good defensive possessions against them. It's quite horrid just how biased Lebron hate is.
