Great video, Richard! Thanks for sharing it. I was thinking about turbulence over the weekend as I was driving over a rough patch on Hwy 101 and then again on I-680 - it us usually bumpier in a car than in our light airplanes, it’s just that we are used to it in a car.

While watching this video, I couldn’t help but notice the sunshade you’re using. One thing you might wanna look is a heat/UV repelling glass tint. There are some that do not hinder visibility through darkening, albeit repelling the heat and UV.

Lake Skinner and Diamond Valley Lakes both look beautiful from 7K feet. French Valley is my local airport. I am not a pilot, only time I have ever flown in the plane was as a kid at an airshow at Riverside Muni. Whee you go up for a circle around the city and land. That was probably 25 years ago. I would love to be able to catch them once at F70 when they are testing one of the new aircraft and watch it. Congrats! Just found the channel so I hope you are enjoying it still.

Congratulations on your new plane! I never had the chance of flying in a Sling, but I did see several at a local experimental aircraft show in my country, and they might be the most beautiful and modern GA single engine props on the market.

Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us. It would be really nice to see how you pick up IFR clearance, how you load and activate the approach and just in general a better visual on the cockpit instruments that we can see some numbers (TAS, GS, wind, fuel burn etc.). Boy, oh boy, Richard. This video brought back some memories for this ole flyboy. That sling looks sharp; reminds me of the old Grumman Tiger. The only thing I would change is to move the pilot's throttle quadrant to the left side. I've always believed that that is where it should be, anyway. But, that's just me. I want to feel like I'm flying a fighter, not some big lumbering cargo plane or cattle car in the sky. Nevertheless, I still envy you man. Hopefully if things work out, I'll be back in these here Hawaiian skies, soon myself. meantime, aim high and good flyiin'.
