This is a great video! I have been trying to find a map-making tool that is easy to use but still functional to import into owlbear rodeo and you have helped me decide to use Dungeondraft. Great explanation and tutorial.

The flashbang arrow should also deafen someone who fails the save because that's what flashbangs do in real life, it doesn't really change how good the arrow is because the deafened condition only effects hearing based perception checks but it's still good to have

Is the first spell from the tales any roll for those checks within 10 min? Like bardic inspiration but for a time limit instead of a single roll?
@thescouts47343 ай бұрын
ok... im still a bit lost on how to calculate a monster or enemy saveing throw stats... not when IT needs to make one, but when it does something that makes a player need to roll... how do I calculate it for home-brew stuff?

ive been working on a vizier on the the viziers. A Visor which helps the user be able to get through any barriers, mental, magical and physical. With this they would be ableto traverse the underdark(where it was made)and know what they needed to know to exert power over their rulers, as it was made by a drow who were my characters slavers at the time. Me helping them gain access to those who made it was my downfall, but I'm given a chance to get it and my own dignity back. Though that's just a story ark. I was thinking of adding passwall, detect thoughts, and some form of overcoming magic resistance to that starting point. otherwise however wondering what you'd use to have as some inate powers... the character is a rogue wizard(arcane tricster7 spellsword9) I think a base bonus to be applied to the int of +2 is good, but want to know what further you'd give it. I already had a base of +2d6 sneak attack as you'd bypass most defenses. but I have major doubts for as the gm is a friend he is also very wary of giving me anything as I'm a veteran player who was able to get through most of what he planned until recently when he made sure every time I tried to hide it couldn't work and questioned every rule decision to a point where it broke down games at time. I don't really know how to deal with a gm who''s doing this and as I've played the game over 2 years I'm unwilling to drop out, and now am told I need to make an artifact my character is after and worry that no matter what i'm going to get the ' no its too powerful response, though he'd given others items of immense power. I am not asking for advice on how to deal with him, just on how to make an item which will sit within it's bounds. We just hit 20th level and I'm falling a little behind in the damage scale because of his rulings and that's just what you have to accept if you took rogue levels, but I want to keep up.

perfect tutorial. im up and running in 15 min

Another thing to remember is that "artifacts" dont have to be weapons or tools, they can be wonders from a long forgotten time. Take The Antikythera mechanism or Aaron's Rod as an example. It could be things that serve practically no function to players like The Amulet of Kings in the Elder Scrolls franchise. The worst artifacts for players to find (in my opinion) are cheap generic loot like an enchanted sword of flames. Edit: i want to add The Sepher Ha-Razim, and The Key of Solomon

Another question: Can the qualities of an object be changed after its initial creation? For example, if you wanted to change the choice of wall on an existing room?

I am not experienced with 5th ed, I have not played it so much and all of my characters save one have been druids. I have played circle of the moon [surprise!] and circle of deviance which never made it past unearthed arcana. It plays rather like circle of the moon with different flavour. What I really enjoy about druids is they have 2 strong suits that are very different. You are the best sort of caster, a full prepared caster. Then you can turn into a powerful animal [talking about circle of the moon druids, which everyone knows] and leap into melee effectively or use the wild shape for utility.

I own physical copies of anything that I've bought for D&D, (any version) I prefer having a book, and several companies, (Looking at you, Sony) have closed peoples' accounts with no access to digital items purchased by their consumers, so I do not rely on digital media being the final form of my media.

I'm trying to run my first campaign, and I plan on splitting a party of 5 into individual locations at level 12. One character will wake up at Hogwarts and need to find some vital information, then another character wakes up at a desert, and needs to defend himself while also finding some weaponry that would be VERY useful to the party, a third character in a temple learning a new skill, a fourth character learning vital information and also about to be executed, and the 5th being in a cavern fighting his way out. Is it possible for the party to regroup and prevent the execution while having all that go on at once?
