I have a white Classic 4 I've been playing about five years. I live the short scale and one of the guitarists I play with agrees with me that the tones are top shelf.

im a sludge metal guitar player who can't get notes deep enough for my liking. I use heavy distortion and mostly single notes. I want this guitar.

Fender is the top. Gibson is very strong when it comes to guitar, but Fender has multiple popular guitars, and THE most popular basses.

A good song to learn slap ?. Hmmm, any Prince song can slap, Michael Jackson or anyone funky at all...Larry Graham songs are the best to learn slap, imho he invented it so he had the original feels to slap Bass. If you can play it sure, it's more how much time do you have or how deep is your pocket, that's about it. There's a lot of guys in the Bass world, that are relatively unknown and really good like Nick Campbell or someone like him, who all of a sudden is very high on the list of players because they have timing and creativity at the same time. Alex Al is another guy who's a absolute beast and a legend. I recommend you check both out, if people have not seen them play Bass yet or heard. A lot to take in there, for a bassist between watching those two guys changed how I thought of playing Bass quite a lot... My eyes got bigger, you know the more styles you see the better you know what you like.

Yamaha probably has the broadest coverage across the Industry. Specific to Bass, other than Fender I’d have to say Ernie Ball.

Wonder if I could use auxiliary to plug in to a Amp that is also connected to a 14inch sub and combine both because I love it loud but I love having a crunch pedal and a few other functions that pedals do.

All looks and sounds great. Price is reasonable. How is the weight? If it’s <9 lbs it’a a no brainer. The look on your face confirms the playing experience.

Your way of responding to the unnecessary repetitive questions is so soothingly calm and warmly human. I just wanted to say thank you for this simple humanity. And as a spectator from Germany, I had to laugh out loud at "Doppelgänger", it seems so strange. But never mind, it's all kindergarten as long as the strings vibrate low enough. Best wishes from near Frankfurt.

tapes opened up "new ideas" for me too ... even though i took them off i will put them on my markbass kimandu .. it is a love hate .. if slapping was banned i would leave the tapes on

with the tapes, just as i experienced . the more you play the more you will love them .. and the slap tone is "very honest" with them too .. as i watch bully you getting used to them with "use" .. when i put them on i was like wtf also and then like a drug ,, i got addicted

okay bassist is right about the rod tension being the same .. "looser" feeling but "same" tension .. i wish i was here for this live .. i took mine off but i will use them again on another bass .. they KILL for R&b and "hip hop basslines
@beasz1974
@beasz1974 4 күн бұрын
and when they break in .. the tapes , they get more "r&b" you can kill disco basslines .. chic and donna summer last dance i sound like the record and i am no the best .. but yeah . .IMO tapes is more friendly than flats and sound like a fretless bass and flats

wow .. i wish i seen this live .. i just used la bella nylon gold for the first time last weekend .. i just took them off today .. they are so cool .. the "learning" curve is short and they are so "fast" after you get used to them .. i put on labella RX nickels and i LOVE those .. labellas make awesome stuff .. the looseness promote me to play almost like my guitar style - the tapewounds

I've just received a Z7 this afternoon and took it out playing at a jam tonight..........It's fekin Awesome! If you're into the Stingray sound, just buy one, no excuses! Customers were noticing a different sound (than Fender), and praising it. I'm about 9 hours in now and I'm convinced it's my new no1.

Im in a really really confused (lack of better word) condition I want something super modern to play ccm and pop and hiphop genre I really like my V5 and now i want something active and with double humbucker/soapbar So i really want sire m2 since im familiar eith sire already.. But I heard a lot of amazing stuffs from cort and i heard they even use better quality for the hardwares too, and that cort space 5 headless feels like the "total modern looks" Im like why not go all in modern with headless while also trying new brand but i really interested in m2 as well

As a brand in music? Most of the comments so far are referring to basses, a couple to guitars. Yamaha is probably the best at making top of the line products in any music category and consistently has extremely good quality control in any price range. Selmer has been making some of the world's best saxophones for about 100 years, and continues to be one of the most respected saxophone brands on the planet. The Zildjian company was founded 401 years ago, and continues to make top of the line percussion products to this day. If strong means old, it's not Fender 😂 If strong means popular with lots of sales, then Fender is definitely up there since guitar is probably the most popular instrument to learn.
