Hey man you sound great, and so does the bass! Could you confirm that the pickups have 60s spacing rather than the slightly further apart 70s spacing? Do you have a preference?

Would you us this in a church setting??? Would you use a pre amp pedal to dial in your tone since it passive???

It would be good - you to make an album - just you and a really hip drummer - maybe a rhythm guitar to pin down chords - you carry the main melodic stuff - maybe a mix of that with guitar taking some solo on some songs

the way the volume dropped on number 2 at zero says it all. old fenders had no drive built in until you rolled on the treble. # 2 is American Fender.

I just bought one, threw Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound P-J Bass pickups on it, and it smokes. I am a guitarist filling in bass for the legendary band: The Mentors, and this bass is perfect for this guitar player. The bass, pickups, and a set of strapless all for under $500.00!!! Excellent bass, excellent price!!!

Hi Alan, thanks for your reviews. I watched one of your previous videos about the Squier Affinity Precision, and now with this new one, I wanted to know from your perspective which bass would be a better bet between the Affinity and this Sonic Precision. I'm trying to decide on my first bass. Thank you for your advise!

My first bass in 94’ was a P-Bass, took it back to GC Hollywood (was too Dull for me) , as I was walking out the store I heard the most amazing sound , a guy was demoing a Music Man, that’s the day I found my Bass Voice.

I'd like to personally thank you for changing my life Bully :-) I've been looking for a bass for years and just thought there HAD to be something more affordable than the big brand and boutique basses I've owned over the years. Then I saw your best/worst basses vid where you talk about this green Squier P Sonic. The trick for me was getting a pro set up and upgrading the bridge and pups. And hand on heart, she plays as well or better than basses costing 10-20 times more. With many leaving their expensive basses at home and touring with these cheap Squiers, I personally don't consider this a beginner bass, but a real, super affordable tool for any pro (I went Tobacco Burst myself:-) Thanks again and keep the quality content coming!

I love a straight P bass, but i also like putting different types of pickups in the sweet spot, like a MM or a slanted soapbar. I'm also partial for reverse P.

I have 2 p's. 1 flats and 1 rounds. Also a PJ fretless and a jbass fretted. Several others also, but these cover all those classic fender tones. P's are a must in any collection. Especially in the studio.

The Precision is just a great solid staple of an electric bass. I started with a Donner DPB-510 (in part from your recommendation of you video from years ago). I still have it and is a regularly played bass. Today I was working on the new Brandon Lake song Hard Fought Hallelujah. I was using my Surf Green Squier Sonic P (vintage style Alnico pickup with flats and a foam mute) for a thumpy P Bass tone. My number one player is my Ashdown Roasted Saint Soap with the mini humbucker in the location of the D/G half of P bass. I just like the sound of a pickup in that location.
