well it does give more chances for procs but.. the strike isnt as potent as it used to be and loriens bask in greatness was also nerfed.. the build isnt what it used to be (

Love the series so far! I haven't played halls myself, but some other bullet heavens. Have you tried scaling damage over defense in the beginning? Damage means you kill more, which means more experience. Move speed is also a better defense, because when you don't get hit it doesn't matter how much damage enemies do. Looking forward to the next videos!

it's pretty hard early on to scale damage and attack speed high enough to completely carry. if we had a better healing item this might be a different case!

I just started the video but something came to mind. With character losses, will you still be able to hit 30 vendor buys after subtracting the missed gear unlocks? Off-hand I just remember shadow cloak, duelist spark, war chief's visor, shepherd's boon, defiant plate and mask of madness.

Yeah if we fail hard enough that could happen. I'm thinking might need to do low torment to keep collecting items, otherwise we'll only see greens

I really enjoy this one and have played so many of them. Im now trying to get some of the higher difficulty stuff done and then I probably move on to a new game as I always do. thats what keeps gaming interesting anyways

I remember playing it on the start of the beta and it looks that many things has changed. For example spirit wariors was the worst i have ever expirienced. And the morning star hadnt ever make me feel good about. 😅

how is your shrine of blessings? If your stats are not levelled enough in the blessings it might be hindering you. do you have the revives unlocked?

@@ExplosivePaddle I recollected myself, did some grinding and now have beaten it using your strategy! I was missing a lot of unlocks/levels in the blessings which I thought would be fine but as it turns out, its a huge power spike. Thanks!

It's funny because so much of this is explained 1500x better than it was in POE1. There's still clearly work to do but this is significantly easier to approach for new players. You almost certainly wouldn't have made it to endgame at all as a new player to the previous game. All good continuing feedback though.

This is just what I meant when we were talking about the rules for this series, counting exiting out of a run as a death was a BRILLIANT choice in my opinion! I might just go with these exact same rules when I finally reset today/tomorrow :D EDIT: Oh, you mentioned before the death earlier in the video that voluntarily exiting a run counts as death.. but I guess you reversed on that idea, and gone back to only actual death counts?

@@ExplosivePaddle Ah, I see, I thought you played the same character that you died with on the run you forgot your items on, on the second run aswell. And slightly before that second run mentioning the rule that no exiting. So I thought you changed the rules on the fly, but in reality, I was not paying attention during the first run (multiple things to do), and didn't see you had Extinguisher. --------------------- R.I.P. I'm new & as it looks now, I may touch End Game out of curiosity, but I'll probably mess with builds through the campaign. I think experimentation is where I'll be getting most of my fun as someone new to arpg's entirely.

RIP crit blessing, dragon's breath, duelist's spark and defiant plate 😫 If he hasn't seen it, watch the Mario movie with your cousin. Some of the best animation I've seen in years. Story and dialogue are a bit simple but it's good eye candy.

Is exiting out of a stage early considered cheating? If not I'd say get the wellkeeper, exit, then jump back in again for gear. Something else to add, I didn't start using auto-aim until I had like 50+ shards. I felt like aiming where I needed was crucial early game to break weak spots in walls of mobs to free myself from getting swarmed.

I do recommend the blind playthrough although there's a bit of a learning curve, it's much more satisfying. Not quite the same thing as Skyrim but it's got the the depth of character building that I like 😁

@@ExplosivePaddle I've watched gameplay of diablo 4 and a couple other roguelikes so I have a basic gist of what I'm getting into. I'm just scared it's gonna take over my life like WoW did. Also Palworld has had tons of new content and progression added since I last played. I'll probably spend a week or 2 on that first.

Great idea to go with Nuzlocke-like rules! I'm resetting HoT soon for the 4th time, and this time I will go for a hardcore challenge aswell. I probably won't use the same ruleset as you, because I would hate to lose a character and continue, as I'm a completionist - I want to complete all quests without dying, that's the ultimate goal. Awesome video and keep making more!

I actually found astro orbs(acts as summons) are insane when paired with cleric + summon minion rings + the regen ammy when having summons, then you go full defense with thorns gloves. About 6-10 minutes into a map i can literally go afk and make coffee. Oh and later on take the golem and spirit warriors aswell, thats 3 extra summons. And as many astro orbs as possible. You will just see a bunch of green numbers as you regenerate more than all the dmg they can throw at you. Might not work on 10+. But for me it's a great starter build to farm with.

The gloves 'bloodstained wrappings' heal you everytime you take damage, heals based on damage dealt. Currently the best healing option in the game

It's pretty hard. I got three wins in about 6 attempts but that's with my 50 shards in max health. I think I would rather get one per 30 minutes because it is more fun than dying haha. Thanks for helping me get a few shards.

The past couple days I've been doing Lando and Swordsman with the Beast Huntress' Mark. Lots of good physical/melee/projectile synergies It was great hearing about the old days of gaming. I lived literally next door to a rental store but 90% of the time I spent my allowance on renting VHS movies. I got $3.50 a week for scooping up dog poop from their kennels every day and every weekend that got me a 3 day rental of 1 new release 1 old release game/movie. I grew up with a lot of consoles but only 4 or 5 games per console.

I think sparks build is good, I play it with the electric curse and arc lightning but I dont take any shields on skill tree. I think lightning armor pen is relevant. I jsut did all spell damage and armor pen mods. Since mana regen is so common on items, I feel its irrelevant at least til like level 30 (im 28) to get mana regen.

These are some good tips! I'm very familiar with PoE, and just starting PoE2. Its fun learning the new playstyle and updates to mechanics. I'm trying to avoid too many spoilers on my first campaign, but I'll check out any new PoE videos once I beat Act 3

Actually more helpful than beginner tips from other channels. Tips&Tricks videos are either coming from some "jouranlist" that has no idea what they are talking about, or from an experienced poe player with too advanced poe vocabulary who can't explain things for beginners very well. This video broke the formula! As a person who's never played poe or diablo games, poe2 is a bit overwhelming (I know it was already simplified a lot compared to poe1) - skill levels, gem requirements - attributes, gem levels, etc. It's all a big blur in my head. Looking forward to future videos explaining poe for newcomers because it's a lot to take in. I think GGG did a good job making the game accessible in the beginning, I'm having a lot of fun exploring all of the systems and UIs, but it's still a lot to take in.
