Thanks for the video. The kit I got did not have the wires. The ones on the car were so brittle I just squeezed them and did it that way. Splicing would have looked ugly.

On the rock auto site you have to find your specific make/model/year car.. Then the specific part(s) you need.. For example this link takes you to the battery cables for a 95 Honda Accord 2.2 liter engine.. Question is, which one(s) do you need and what length?? www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/honda,1995,accord,2.2l+l4,1167319,electrical,battery+cable,2500

For anyone watching. This did not fix it for me. The Rangers also have seam sealer that likes to dry up with age and water running out of the drain actually causes the leak from inside near the brake pedal. Only way to fix it take dashboard out

My 2008 3.0 manual is having a issue where it does not crank at all, or it sometimes will turn on but "partially", where the engine has a light rumble below the normal idle rpms and I have to start reving it to keep it on and immediately drive it otherwise it will shut off. And when I rev it for a bit and drive it it then all of a sudden fully fires up, (full normal rumble with the higher normal rpms). And then sometimes it starts with no issue. Any ideas what it could be? I changed the battery and ignition coil. Next I'm thinking to do the spark plugs. Mechanic scanned it and couldn't find a problem. I will try cleaning this part too.

what brand injectors you used? After market injectors work from amazon or eBay. please suggest me, my car is Toyota Avalon 2006

Did you happen to take a measurement of the current draw before and after?
@tongo11711 күн бұрын
no i did not.. don't have a clamp meter..
@johng.170310 күн бұрын
there would be a higher amp draw, or the same amp draw, there is more work being done, so it with either draw more current or lower the speed, or a combination of the two. but I am at a loss to think of a reason why making a fan do more work extends its life.
@kempie99019 күн бұрын
@@johng.1703well, it’s actually doing less work. Greater resistance means less work is being done. Think of it in purely DC electrical terms. Greater resistance means less current. I think it’s either the same current or lower, so no extending the life by limiting airflow. You could probably extend the life of the bearings that way though. I have one of those setups, but put a 3 way switch on it bc it was a multi speed fan. Low has plenty of airflow.
@johng.17039 күн бұрын
@@kempie9901 so if I strap 100KG of weights to your legs you are going to be doing less work running a marathon than without those weights right? blocking the exit is creating a greater air pressure, aka more dense air, which the blower has to work harder and compress the incoming air. so it doesn't turn as fast as it is doing more work to turn the blower. now there are going to be electrical connections that while not moving as fast, there is going to be more current flowing through them. if you really want to test this out, use a vacuum cleaning and restrict the intake, it isn't going to like it and the power consumption is going to go up and the motor is going to get hotter.
@kempie99019 күн бұрын
@@johng.1703you should calm down my guy. I wasn’t saying anything negative towards you. When you restrict the airflow causing less air to flow, by definition, less work is being done. May be less work for the same amount of current, but it’s less work nonetheless. Your analogy of adding weight to a runner is not even close to the same thing because you are causing MORE weight to be moved.

Very good to know, thanks for posting. I don't own a clamp on amp meter but it would be interesting to see the difference in amperage draw.

I was told the same thing. In my case, I wanted to use the blower as an air cleaner, so I built a cabinet for it that let me mount a 4" high-MERV filter and a 1" pre-filter in front of it. I don't have any way to know for sure that this is enough pressure drop to protect the fan motor, but since I am lazy about replacing the filters and they generally are a bit clogged, my bet is that I'm okay. :-) What I ought to have done was to measure the current draw of the unmounted fan and then after mounting it. I suppose it ought to be possible to look up the proper current draw for a fan and go by that. Two to three amps, maybe?

hey so I accidentally snapped the dog ear on the drive dog and want to replace it and I see that you marked the orientation to put it back on but I was wondering how I could make sure I have the correct orientation on a completely new drive dog that im going to replace the old one with? can I just point the line indent that's only on one side level with the line on the distributor itself and put the new dog on with the line at the same orientation? its an expensive coil on plug conversion distributor so I really don't want to mess it up, Thank you so much in advance

If you own an Accord that's '99 or earlier, chances are you too will only have OBD1 - they were built with the bracket installed for an OBD2 connector, but without the connector - you will have the 2plug blue OBD1 jobbie over on the LH side footwell. Search as you like, you'll not find "your" obd2 socket. You'll also probably struggle to buy an obd1 compatible scanner these days - please correct me if you know different.

Hello, Im going to try this out, but I am scared about messing up the time as I dont have a timing light, did you have any timing issues with the method you used?
@tongo11719 күн бұрын
This was my first time taking the distributor off of any car so I was also concerned about messing up the timing.. I just tried to be careful about disassembly/reassembly so that it all went back together the way it was originally.. I didn't have any timing issues.. And this was done 4.5 years ago still have the Accord still runs well..
