great post as always, im sure its been asked before but i must have missed it, what is the yellow like shield shape on the l/h mirror arms on the John Deeres? and id choose the 6810 any time in that line up!

Good video, nearly as good as Michelle's video, my work bench is sometimes even worse than that, as for what tractor id take the 6810, even though i don't like blue ones much

Regarding snow ploughs I don't think you should take them off yet. I remember back in the day running trunks to farms picking fallen stock up 3,000 miles a week and same day collection. I have seen 12 foot snow drifting in march, I think the job whoud come to an End now a days.

Great video today Michael. Keep in mind it takes at least three times longer to get organized than to make the mess. In New Brunswick Canada we get most of our snow in February. I cleared my driveway out this morning after 6 inches of snow overnight. 🙂

Why don't you leave the trailers tipped up a bit with the tailgates open to let the rainwater run out ? You might have to smear a drop of Hydraulic oil on the exposed arms to stop them rusting.
@stevewareing852511 сағат бұрын
Great video Michael, I'd leave the snowplough's attached for a while yet. Remember the old saying "Ne'er cast a clout till May is out" If you take them off it will be sure to snow in February. 👍.

Doing business and talking face to face is due largely to circumstances changing and , to my mind, NOT for the better. I resent the loss of so many weekly livestock auctions, agricultural shows and other such events. Look at the development of events like LAMMA and Cereals as examples. Whatever has happened to local summer evening farm walks or visits and monthly discussion group meetings? I miss the events put on by such folks as seed companies to locally look at and compare crop performance from planting through growth stages, resistance to pest, disease and drought (and perhaps drowning!) Or events to look at things like soil and seedbed management, grassland compaction and how to correct this efficiently. Does ADAS even do such things nowadays? Do the EHF farms even exist? Do the ag universities take part in any demonstration / explanation events OR is all their public work limited by paid-for research work for companies / organisations and therefore not available for others to see and learn from? (Cynical I know but is this where we are at in reality!!) Issues such as the very poor control of many very poor soil pH levels because of the lack of planned lime application, Sulphur has gone the same way largely due to the Clean Air Act and the loss of S in most Nitrogen fertilizers. Compaction issues on grassland due to bigger and bigger, heavier machinery working on the land in less than ideal soil conditions. Contractors perhaps trying to push for earlier starts and longer, later seasons and so on? Just when nowadays do folks meet up to just talk in a relaxed manner and learn new things and techniques to help their businesses ?? And we have the claims and concerns about mental health issues in farming!! It is really worrying to see the rapidly increasing suicide data for our industry
