I'm not a trombonist, but I am impressed how competent the plastic instrument can sound. Of course brass will always be more refined, but the option of plastic for students, being a lot cheaper, is interesting to see. Also, there is the "pro player" factor making a good tone, but still

Michael, first of all, great respect for your interpretation of this piece. You have done it with such sensitivity and expression and you have shown your mastery of the instrument and as a trombonist who has been playing for more years than you have been alive...well, great respect again and again. It is my sincere hope that one I can come close to the mastery of the instrument you display here. You have set the bar very high indeed for the rest of us posers and wanna-be trombone players. As a trombonist myself (we play the same trombone btw) I’ve been playing for 10 years and I can play like this too and it’s legit just letting each note sing and not rushing the time. It’s really not that hard if you practice consistently But amazing playing love from Sweden

Very great performance, thank you for sharing. Ive noted this score with slide positions and I can play it pretty good, but when sight reading it is much more difficult. Do you have any tips for better sight reading ?

Try isolating parts of pieces you know (like one or two bars) and play them in a loop with a metronome (or even backwards). You‘ll find this much more difficult, cause it‘s hardly possible to play this by ear. Habe fun! 👌🎶
