This might be sacrilegious or whatever, but I actually like John K's designs when they stay on model. Especially in his later projects, he has a tendency to over animate and make it so exaggerated that the designs are barely tolerable anymore, so when it stays on model but still has the signature Ren and stimpy flair it's actually quite pleasant to look at.

Evan is one of the top 5 episodes of Miami Vice of all-time. I watched the show every Friday night at 8:00 p.m. and I bought the complete series on DVD some years back that I still check out from time to time 🙂 But here is a little fun fact about "Evan". This episode touches on the subject of homosexuality within the police department. In one scene, Crockett was talking to Tubbs about a detective who was killed in the line of duty. But the detective was gay. When it was discovered that he had been in the closet, other cops started calling him a fa**ot. Crockett told Tubbs "The other cops in the unit would say fa**ot this and fa**ot that to describe the detective..." No one gave that scene a second thought in 1985. But that scene (as you all know) would not fly today AT ALL!!! It has become a Cardinal Sin to even THINK about saying the "F" word when describing a gay person. Don't believe that? The entire series of Miami Vice is currently streaming on Tubi right now. They have every single episode... Except Evan. Now after reading my comment, ask yourself, why is that? Why would they omit one of the best episodes of the entire series? 🤔 I know why... And I hope everyone reading this knows why as well 😉
