Headed for home one evening..Off in the distence i saw black smoke building...Thought it was a run away big trk engine..Hit the 4 ways and stopped to see what i could do..As i got there the driver came out and spoke to me(i let him in my trk cause he had no shoes on or jacket)telling me he ran over a matress...Didnt think it was a big deal,odd but still..I asked how it caught fire and why didnt you pull matress from under the truck before it caught fire..He said he couldnt get it out,so he drove 30 mi to a shop but didnt make it..He said it was all up around the exhaust and had no way to get it out....lol i said no damn wonder you lost a trk....

Why do drivers always stop under an overpass when they have a fire? This maximizes danger and damage to the highway.

Have you considered software development as a potential educational pursuit? Listening to your suggestions for improving the DoorDash app leads me to believe you may have a natural ability for user interface design.

Making a complaint towards a customer, will only get that customer "Black Listed" from you both ever interacting again on the app. so maybe the customer was trying to look cool in front of his girlfriend, whatever. Calling and complaining literally did nothing but delete a user from your door dash app

You have mental issues you have to stop instigating people. Instigating the wrong person may cause you great harm. You may need to take meds to calm you down or see a mental counselor to share your experience and give you good advice.

It happens all the time this is very common, this thing of merchants ignoring or ghosting or being rude to couriers. It drives me nuts and I call thrm out whenever it happens to me, and I appreciate and I'm super nice to good merchants and I call out the bad ones, I have a lot of frustrating stories with shitty merchants that treat me like a second class citizen because I'm just picking up a Doordash order, customers don't know what couriers go through and they usually put the blame for an issue on the courrier when usually problems aren't the courier's fault.
@questionableidentity1

i dont think they're bothering with streamlining operations for couriers because couriers are temporary until full automated delivery kicks in. as a consumer though, the point from when the order is taken to when the driver picks it up is all a big black box, i think transparency is important to add more consumer confidence in the product because right now it's anyone's guess how much effort is being made from the restaurant to expedite online orders vs how urgent and competent my driver is relative to traffic. some people just shouldn't be driving for a living when they're not efficient drivers

This happens in so many locations, it just so happens to be easier in North Texas when the weather is nice enough. We get the same thing here in North Central Washington State. One of the latest scams in our area is they will take a news item of a child that was recently hurt in a fire, accident, or some other incident that they will pose as family members and ask for donations. These people have been recorded in undercover camera reports with some making over $100/hr during peak times. Confessions from some of these swindlers have said on a slow day they are out there for three to four hours (off and on because of law enforcement) and they will only clear $200-$300 dollars, but on good days (paydays and event days) they will clear anywhere between $700-$1500 dollars. They will never have many coins in their till (that gets too heavy) and they will seed there till with $5's $10's, $20's and maybe a fake $50 or $100 dollar bill from Amazon so they can use that "cheapskate" psychology on people to trick them into guilt giving. However, these are all scams. Any legitimate charity has to be registered with the state they are in. Sometimes there are also local and county laws and permits required. Unlike a true charity (And People GOODWILL IS NOT A CHARITY, it is a billion dollar a year corporation with a very well compensated CEO) or religious organization these people are not doing charitable or God's work. They are getting easy TAX FREE DOLLARS and many live in nice neighborhoods and homes (the organized ones) and others have had homelessness, drugs, alcohol, and sometimes legal woes that preclude them from earning an honest living. Please, if ever you find yourself wanting to give to a roadside/highway swindler, save that dollar in an envelope in your console and when enough is saved up, donate those monies to a veterans organization that helps homeless and embattled vets. The war is never over for some of these guys, and the PTSD memories that haunt these men and women are real. They served voluntarily so perhaps you or a son, nephew or grandson didn't have to be conscripted into service, and so all of us could live in this great country during this experiment in freedom we call democracy.
