Honestly this is the first FE game I couldn't care, the artstyle is already not appealing to me, looks like every generic anime ever. But also im so tired of any media franchises using nostalgia baiting as a selling point, seeing the emblem rings gave me a bad feeling along with the story looking generic, like an Awakening plot 2.0. Honestly this game looks like a spinoff.

For anyone whos played WtA, Matilda is a stereotypical Lupus. Shes abrasive, almost entirely asocial with those who she hasnt designated as "tolerable". Is barely literate, doesnt tolerate being treated as subservient by humans. If she's a plant, she's the worst one they could have possibly picked. Which makes it way funnier.

Most of your issues with Engage are present in all of the other Fire Emblem games not called Three Houses. Three Houses was developed by Intelligent Systems and Koei Techmo, while all the other games were made by Intelligent Systems. It seems like they tried copying a lot of what made Three Houses work when they made Engage, but didn’t know why those things worked in the first place. Three Houses is so much better than every other game in the series. Intelligent Systems needs to learn to let go and allow their series to change, like I thought it would after Three Houses.

A funny addition to Spit witnessing Fatigue getting torn apart by the werewolf/Matilda is that the description of the April Fools video, where Fatigue makes himself explode as a prank, says this is Spit's testimony. I'm not saying that the video is entirely canon, but as a result of seeing the werewolf, Spit could have completely blocked it from his memory, and thus his account has Fatigue exploding unprompted. His state at the end of the episode matches the disbelief reaction Delirium where the target huddles in a corner trying to avoid what they think is just a hallucination and also says that the target forgets the encounter.

Now that we arrived at the serie's finale. I would really like to know what is your final verdict.

I ended up watching Arch's video claiming that Warhammer 40k isn't satirical because I wanted to see why people had that opinion. I lasted 30 mins of it before concluding that people who don't think Warhammer 40k is a satire are, more often than not, fascists. And I found the rolling of his R's and over-pronunciation of words to make himself sound clever extremely annoying too.

Fire emblem engage is like a really good late fire emblem anniversary game with fun gameplay mechanics with the emblems and bringing back the weapon triangle and revamping it with the break system easily making it have my favorite gameplay in the series. Your absolutely right about engages story and world building but believe it or not, two of the most popular fire emblem games, awakening and fates, have stories and world building just as bad as engage and are mostly dead focused on being really fun games. Fire emblem echoes in my opinion actually ever had a genuinely good story and then they followed that up with fire emblem three houses and you know all about that game. I've played almost every fire emblem game (except the snes games) and the direction they decided to go for in engage isn't really that surprising once you see the rest of the franchise, however I honestly do hope they try to make a fire emblem game with another amazing story again that sucks you into its world the way three houses did for me. I like hearing your thoughts from a new fans perspective and I honestly recommend fire emblem echoes if you haven't checked that out already.

I didn't find FE: Engage to be very.... bar with me here... engaging. I got kind of bored after awhile tbh. Like they stripped some of the info from three houses. I liked being able to see who the enemy was going to target plus hovering over said enemy gave me a little window that said the damage and hit rate. Engage however doesn't have the best combat window. I like all the info three houses gave me plus battalions were cool imo. But I might trudge through engage but I still have a dmitri run to finish 👀

I see the Meat Tube as a manifestation of Carl’s instinct, his hunger, his Id. It’s a treat on a stick, a temptation, fed through a tube as if it is *meant* to be consumed. Carl sees the Meat and simply cannot help himself from indulging, even when it results in the tube’s destruction. This theory does contradict the Meat Tube’s second appearance, where it berates Carl. I can only interpret this as the manifestation taking on a new form, one not driven by his Id, but rather his Ego.
