I wonder if you have a solution for this it’s 2024 and I’m trying to get my last payment amount so I can log into my account but I haven’t gotten EDD benefits for 15 years and I’m trying to call them to get payment amount so I can log into my account and actually file a claim because Ican’t even sign up for it can’t even apply for it so I don’t know how to find it because I can’t get on the phone. I can’t go down to the office, there’s no way for me to do it. Do you have any solution?

If you have a USB cable that plugs into your phone just connect it to your computer and upload your photos to an external drive

Maybe check into the PODS you can pack and they will move it then it gets delivered to the new house and only keep it for an extra month so you can go through it at your time and it is at your house then they pick it up

Shelly your telling about your Mom doing the storage lots got me thinking. I just googled flea markets in California as I recall there are big ones here & surprised that they are still going on. But I haven't heard about them at all in a long while. I always thot it neat that in Europe/UK they call them boot sales from the trunks of their cars. Someone could just do a website called Flea Market and sell the storage units thru that. As my girls say when I have an idea, "Mom, somebody already does that..." & they probably do ha ha but easier I would thinkthen going to a flea market and setting up. Up here near Vallejo there was a permenant one for ages. Great fun to go there when I was a kid. Music, food, vender tables. & 2 huge sheds where they would auction things up on the stage. BUT if nobody ran the bid up - the items went for the last & hopefully low bid andwe got good things that way. Mom was a sewer and we always come home with yards of fabric from that building. ♥

p.s. the store I work at is always putting up cardboard display units & then after the promotions they get crushed. I have brought home several of them and they make nifty little shelf units & I have a ton of stuff on them. Got 2 units with lots of little nooks for my granddaughter to use in her play fort - think they were McCormick/Shilling seasoning displays. I don't want to have heavy furniture anymore and these are fun to have & use. I have a Kelloggs, a Ghirardelli Chocolate, A Casa Sanchez, a Pepperidge Farm ..... Right now the store has back to school ones that look like yellow schoolbus's but I dont' think I'd get them in my car ! Anyway when you talk about you & your Mom looking for furniture I chuckle. I grew up with the families swapping it all around, cousin to grands, to sisters/brothers or friends. & I still think Thrift shops have the best unusual and pretty things. Your theater may use such displays?

Oh gosh Shelly, I just recall there was a tv show about a group of people working, but then 1 of them was a single of age lady who had her own video channel at home --- showing her cats all day while she was out, and then what she did when she got home. A work friend stopped by once & was totally surprised by it. Talk about a secret life.

Sounds like your mom did not plan for retirement, which is sad but inevitable. Why does she pay $70 dollars a month for a cell phone plan when there are probably at least 4 providers that run around $30 a month or less? I have an unlimited text and talk plan with Verizon that costs me $30.

I seriously thought she was going to go into a tirade of blaming Biden for the prices of gas and food (which of course we know that Biden has no control over these costs). I do love how the mum is independent and doesnt want help from her daughter but she does have a backup if something does happen. She has a safety network and is very lucky.

Why do they make it like this? I worked at a good military defense company and got laid off. I paid well over 30k in taxes to the government over my few years working there. And now that I’m down and trying to get back on my feet they barely gave me 10k for a claim . In California this is NOTHING. I was a good productive member of society and now im just another number. I think your video has a lot of useful information I would've liked to have come across a few years ago when I was getting started, so thanks for sharing.

Copies you can do at UPS, FedEx/Kinkos have several- are they still Kinkos? , 7-11 used to have copiers - prob not any more....I copy at work a bit if it's just couple of pages...... & libraries - most have several copiers to use colleges ect also have libraries & copiers
