What I spend in a month as a senior citizen living on only Social Security and a VA Pension AKA a fixed income in Los Angeles, wait for it...Baby Boomer Money.
I love my mom more than anything in the world but growing up living on welfare and watching her struggle when an emergency occurs really shaped me into wanting to become a millionaire. There's nothing wrong with being poor but it is scary to see how tight her budget is. I am glad I am able to help her and hope I can continue doing so. My mom inherited the trailer from my Grandma and without her low cost of space rent I'm not sure how she would make ends meet. I suspect even rent is a struggle for many seniors. Learning to invest is so important to a secure financial future. This is what it's really like to live off of only social security benefits when you retire.
